I, Jessica Shavonne Hendrix was born in the city of Pensacola, Florida on March 29, 1994 at
Sacred Heart Hospital. I was born premature with brain damage. I don’t know how or why. I
know I had to stay months and months in the hospital after I was born. When the doctors thought
I was healthy enough to be released they released me but every year I would have to go see my
neurologist, Dr. Axley in Pensacola as well. I have a lot to be thankful for because they could
have pronounced me dead, but they tried to keep me alive. I was able to survive twice. I am
thankful for my family praying for me and being there for me. I was born into a Christian
oriented family. We always put God first into everything we do. I am the only child. My personal
style is I am very laid back, I like to stay to myself and mind my own business. If I want to do
something for someone I really care about, I will make it my business to do it for them. I am
always very sweet and nice, until someone turns me the wrong way. I don’t like being around
people that bully other people. I also don’t like being around people that are bad influence on
me. I am passionate about helping people and making sure they are on the right track for success.
I want to continue to always be there for my family. My family has always been there for me, so
I want to do the same. Family is all I have right now. My strengths are having faith in God and
telling people the right route to go to be successful in life. My weakness is procrastination and
studying for different subjects. I think what makes me different from other people is my respect
for my elders, and that I will help anyone in need if I am able to do so. I am very respectful to
people I meet. I see myself changing as I progress through life by being firmer to telling people
no and meaning it with no remorse. I am also learning that every one that says they are my friend
some of them are not my friends. I want to become a people person. I am also learning that some
people will just be your friend for their benefit. Sometimes some people just want to bring you
down just so they can laugh at you. I view the world today as positively because I want to do the

as far as our President goes, because he wants to remove Obama Care which I think is great
because it is a lot of people that need Obama Care especially since it is for people that doesn’t
have insurance or enough money to get things like a phone. My religion will always be the same,
I am a Christian and I am a firm believer in God. Society is getting out of hand, but I know the
society will get better if we have the right people in it to make it be better. I see things getting
better for me personally. I want to interact with people more and show people that I am more
than just a quiet person and that I am shy. Sometimes I can begin to talk a lot if I am very
comfortable around you. I will deal with these changes by first and foremost thanking God for
blessing me to make it through and get through the rough patches and become stronger than ever.

want to make sure I am ready to pursue this with no financial problems. I also want to make my
parents proud for continuing school to do what I want to and make the best of it. Also, if I am not
financially stable, I will use the rest of my VA benefits from my father and pay the rest of it out
of pocket. I want to achieve for happiness and success. I would define happiness as in being
happy with yourself and know what you want out of life that will keep you happy. I would define
success as making sure you succeed in what you want to do in life. The past jobs I had, was my
first job at Walmart as a Cashier in Crestview, FL and I loved working there I was working at
least 40 hours a week I got to make new friends. I also liked the discount I got when I got on my
lunch break or needed things for the house or for myself. I was also taking some classes as well.
My second job was at the Okaloosa County School Board District as a Substitute Teacher in Fort
Walton Beach, FL for all the schools in Okaloosa County. At first, I was okay with teaching the
high schoolers and the middle schoolers, then it got tough when I had to teach the elementary
kids. I honestly can’t handle kindergarteners and first and second graders. I didn’t like working
there. Those children would not listen to me at all. It was a couple times I had to call next door or
the principal. Long story, short, I got a few letters in the mail saying that I wasn’t able of
handling kids and I didn’t have any classroom management. I got two letters at one time. Then I
got one more and they basically told me they would not want me to teach at their schools
anymore. It was basically elementary schools. I was great with the Middle and High Schoolers
which was good. The Okaloosa School Board District told me I couldn’t substitute anymore. My
third job was at the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park on Okaloosa Island as a Photographer. I
thought it would be a job with benefits like my other two jobs but come to find out it wasn’t no
benefits at all. At first, I liked taking pictures but then one day it was raining and where I had to
shoot didn’t have no cover to block my hair from getting wet. I had to shoot photos in the rain, I
was so upset. On that day, I said “yeah I’m going to put my two weeks in because I cant do this

again”. So, two weeks later, I no longer worked there and then after that I focused on school until
May came around. Since I been going to this school, I wanted to work in the library in Fort
Walton Beach, so I applied and got an interview in May and they said they would call me. So, in
June, I did FASFA and I got a Pell Grant and it asked me about doing a work study and I said
yes. The next day, Mr. Paul called me and said I was interested in a work study and I said, “Yes
sir, I am”. He said “well, Jessica do you want to do your work study with us here at the Fort
Walton Beach Campus” and I replied, “Yes sir” and he said, “You can start August 28th, 2018”
and I have been here ever since. I honestly love this job so much. I love that me and all my
coworkers get along and my boss is so generous. He is the best! I honestly wish I could work
with him for a while. He is the best thus far. We have parties every now and then. I also love that
I can do homework, and study while getting paid. Sometimes when we are busy, we get to help
some of the students that doesn’t know what to do or answer any questions they may have which
is always nice instead of being bored, if you don’t have any homework or studying to do. I plan
on working as much as I gain wealth, so I won’t have to worry about money again. My career
goals are to work with the government as personnel on Eglin AFB, FL. I plan on working with
one employer until I must retire, then I will get another job. I won’t stop working until I’m 96 or
100 years old. I would not like to start my own business. Personally, I feel that is a lot of work
and a lot of stress, and I do not like to stress over business. A business is very important, and you
must do business with the right people, not just anybody. If I had to start my own business, it
would be a hair store, where people can buy bundles of hair from me. It seems to be the trend
now to buy hair bundles from people. You don’t have to be licensed, but it will be good to be
licensed. The people that sell hair try to get discounts on the hair to give to your customers to be
inexpensive. It can be your side job if you already have a job, but you want to make extra money

would want to put my children in public school. I went to home school them first because my
parents had me stay with my grandmother and then when I went into real school, I was smarter
than the other kids because I was taught by an outrageous woman, God rest her soul. My
grandmother was the best teacher ever while my parents were working. I am grateful for having
her in my life. She died when I was 7 years old. I want to instill my children that honesty is key
and that they can tell me anything. I will always be there to listen instead of shutting them out. I
would allow my children to stay in my home for how ever long they want and when they are
ready to go move out on their own. If they want to come back home, they are welcome to, my
doors are always open. I plan on helping them financially, my parents did it for me and I will do
the same for them. I will do a college fund for them once they are born into this world. I will
save money to put in their college fund. But if they get good grades in school, they will most
likely get a scholarship and if not they can do fasfa and get grants. I will also help them with
finances if I have enough money to help them pay off debts or whatever they need. I will also do
a college fund once they are born so I can start saving up my money, if they decide to go to
college. I plan on having a honest and loving relationship with my children, so they won’t be
afraid to tell me what is on their mind. I will be there to listen to whatever they want to tell me. I
plan on making $100,000 a year working with the government. I don’t want my children to
worry about money. I just want them to worry about their education and living a great life and let
it be fun and wonderful. My financial goals are to save money and be conservative and not spend
a lot of money on unnecessary things in my life. I plan on spending the money that I make on
things I need instead of things I want, which is horrible in a way. For retirement, I plan to use the
401K. Also, I plan on purchasing a house, big enough for my family to lay their head every

nobody. As a family, we can travel and go on vacation three or four times out of the year. I want
to have a great lifestyle and we will stay to ourselves and mind our business. We will not make
any tradeoffs to have a very private life. The money that I earn from working with the
government will support my lifestyle. I want to live in a big house away from everyone else.
This will probably be 30 minutes away from my family, currently we would be living in Fort
Walton beach, FL. My profession will be able to practice there as of right now. I wish to move as
I progress through life. I will be soon married to a Military man and I will be a Military wife. I
know we will be moving around a lot. I also like to travel. As a kid, I was able to travel a little bit
but when I did, I really didn’t get to have much as a wanted to except when I went to Disney
world, I was able to meet people and get on fun rides. Most of the time, my dad would be
working on the job, so I couldn’t have fun like most children my age, which is understandable.
Nothing will prevent me from moving now or in the future. I am ready to move anywhere. When
I graduate, I will be taking classes fully online to get my master’s degree after I graduate in May
for my bachelors, I am not stopping. My hobbies are to play basketball, I been playing since I
was playing at Upward in Middle school. Upward is a basketball group for Christians. It was
very fun to do when I was in middle school. I like to meet new people and hang out with new
people. I also like to go to the movies and see new movies coming out in theater. I will try to
balance work and leisure by working Mondays through Fridays and off on the weekends. I can
hang out with friends and relatives on the weekends that is the only days I am off from work. My
ratio hopefully will not change as I age between work and leisure because I want to work for 40
years and when I want to retire, I can enjoy my retirement to the fullest. My family will tie into
start and a sun roof. I want my children to be financially stable, so they don’t have to depend on

club. It has been around for years, way before I was thought of and born into. My dad’s mother
was in it for years. My mom and I joined when I was a senior in High school. The club helps
people in the community, by paying for some of their bills, raising money by doing fundraisers.
Every year in December we have a banquet, it is nice every year. I really like being in the
organization, this one will probably be the only one I will be in. My philosophy on helping
others is I like helping people in need. I have been like this for years since I was a little child.
The role I believe social organizations play in society is a very big role, it is great to join
organizations as long as they are good organizations to help and meet new people that actually
are in need. I plan on retiring when I was 60 or 70 years old.
