I, Jessica Shavonne Hendrix was born in the city of Pensacola, Florida on March 29, 1994 at
Sacred Heart Hospital. I was born premature with brain damage. I don’t know how or why. I
know I had to stay months and months in the hospital after I was born. When the doctors thought
I was healthy enough to be released they released me but every year I would have to go see my
neurologist, Dr. Axley in Pensacola as well. I have a lot to be thankful for because they could
have pronounced me dead, but they tried to keep me alive. I was able to survive twice. I am
thankful for my family praying for me and being there for me. I was born into a Christian
oriented family. We always put God first into everything we do. I am the only child. My personal
style is I am very laid back, I like to stay to myself and mind my own business. If I want to do
something for someone I really care about, I will make it my business to do it for them. I am
always very sweet and nice, until someone turns me the wrong way. I don’t like being around
people that bully other people. I also don’t like being around people that are bad influence on
me. I am passionate about helping people and making sure they are on the right track for success.
I want to continue to always be there for my family. My family has always been there for me, so
I want to do the same. Family is all I have right now. My strengths are having faith in God and
telling people the right route to go to be successful in life. My weakness is procrastination and
studying for different subjects. I think what makes me different from other people is my respect
for my elders, and that I will help anyone in need if I am able to do so. I am very respectful to
people I meet. I see myself changing as I progress through life by being firmer to telling people
no and meaning it with no remorse. I am also learning that every one that says they are my friend
some of them are not my friends. I want to become a people person. I am also learning that some
people will just be your friend for their benefit. Sometimes some people just want to bring you
down just so they can laugh at you. I view the world today as positively because I want to do the

right thing and lead people in the right direction. Although, I view the world today as negatively
as far as our President goes, because he wants to remove Obama Care which I think is great
because it is a lot of people that need Obama Care especially since it is for people that doesn’t
have insurance or enough money to get things like a phone. My religion will always be the same,
I am a Christian and I am a firm believer in God. Society is getting out of hand, but I know the
society will get better if we have the right people in it to make it be better. I see things getting
better for me personally. I want to interact with people more and show people that I am more
than just a quiet person and that I am shy. Sometimes I can begin to talk a lot if I am very
comfortable around you. I will deal with these changes by first and foremost thanking God for
blessing me to make it through and get through the rough patches and become stronger than ever.
God has helped me make through graduating high school at Crestview High School in 2013, and
then I graduated college in 2015 and then I am now graduating with my four-year degree in
Business Management this Spring. My past has contributed to who I am today by making me a
better person and firmer with people that doesn’t mean me no good. I need to also keep saying
no to everything people ask me because most people just want to use me for their benefit. It was
a always a hard thing for me to do growing up because I am always a sweet person and I like to
help people that I think are in need. My past has contributed to my past because I am saying no
to people when they want me to do something to help them. I have learned that doing things for
other people doesn’t help me at all. It just brings me down and that is what most people want is
to bring me down and laugh at me. My education goals after my get my bachelor’s degree I will
work a while and then when I feel I am financially stable to get into a master’s program, I will do
something in Healthcare. I will probably go to Troy Online which is a full Online Program. I
want to make sure I am ready to pursue this with no financial problems. I also want to make my

parents proud for continuing school to do what I want to and make the best of it. Also, if I am not
financially stable, I will use the rest of my VA benefits from my father and pay the rest of it out
of pocket. I want to achieve for happiness and success. I would define happiness as in being
happy with yourself and know what you want out of life that will keep you happy. I would define
success as making sure you succeed in what you want to do in life. The past jobs I had, was my
first job at Walmart as a Cashier in Crestview, FL and I loved working there I was working at
least 40 hours a week I got to make new friends. I also liked the discount I got when I got on my
lunch break or needed things for the house or for myself. I was also taking some classes as well.
My second job was at the Okaloosa County School Board District as a Substitute Teacher in Fort
Walton Beach, FL for all the schools in Okaloosa County. At first, I was okay with teaching the
high schoolers and the middle schoolers, then it got tough when I had to teach the elementary
kids. I honestly can’t handle kindergarteners and first and second graders. I didn’t like working
there. Those children would not listen to me at all. It was a couple times I had to call next door or
the principal. Long story, short, I got a few letters in the mail saying that I wasn’t able of
handling kids and I didn’t have any classroom management. I got two letters at one time. Then I
got one more and they basically told me they would not want me to teach at their schools
anymore. It was basically elementary schools. I was great with the Middle and High Schoolers
which was good. The Okaloosa School Board District told me I couldn’t substitute anymore. My
third job was at the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park on Okaloosa Island as a Photographer. I
thought it would be a job with benefits like my other two jobs but come to find out it wasn’t no
benefits at all. At first, I liked taking pictures but then one day it was raining and where I had to
shoot didn’t have no cover to block my hair from getting wet. I had to shoot photos in the rain, I
was so upset. On that day, I said “yeah I’m going to put my two weeks in because I cant do this
