Icebreaker is a clothing manufacturer and founded in Wellington and New
Zealand. It is merino wool outdoor and deals in natural performances brand
headquartered in Auckland and New Zealand. It was conceived and designed with
the use of natural fibres, and various ethics of environmental and social change.
Icebreaker established in 1995 by Jeremy Moon and deals in supplying its brand
clothing to more than 4700 stores in 50 countries. Icebreaker sells its products
through retail stores, official website and with all the channels of wholesales. The
products are selling in New Zealand which is followed by Australia. Icebreakers are
continuously developing a layering system and the collection includes superfine
lightweight travels. In 1996, it is the world first natural layered system with the
excellent warmth to low bulk inspires in two weight layer system (Founder and
Introduction, 2019).
The meaning of icebreaker is breaking the ice and stays warm with new
upcoming ideas and making new relationships between people and using natural
fibers in our body. The demand increases with the building of a lasting relationship
with all its customers, natural phenomenon, contact with international partnerships
and focus on little footprints in big steps. In 2011, the major role innovates their
products with upgraded technology that superfine the quality products with ease for
customers. The main purpose is with resourcefulness, strengths, and qualities we
commit for the people for a long period of time. Icebreakers deals in expanded
opportunity with the partnerships with VF Corporation who is a global leader in new
apparel, access new markets and bring alternatives to customers at accelerated
peace (History, 2019).
Globalization is an interacting process among people, industries, and
governments worldwide. Icebreakers are the biggest clothing manufacturing industry
who deals in making innovative products through its productions, channels of
marketing and facilities of distributions. The main impact of introducing is to update
on the latest trends and keeping all the people informed via websites globally. This
can be done by connecting people worldwide with the internet, digital marketing,
mobile phones, and newspapers. Some of the major benefits related to globalization
which includes foreign direct investment, it helps to increases much greater growth in
world trade, growth of global companies and industrial restructuring. Icebreaker built
a similar strategy in sourcing merino wool from NZ and produced garments in other
countries like China for generating products to other countries (Stevens, 2019).
The main assessment includes in progress with incorporating the work by
identifying global goals and how to achieve them. Icebreakers main purpose in future
is to introduce social enterprise and establishment of global leadership programs
worldwide. Our business defines using natural products with innovative technologies
in the whole company. The fabric composition has risen to 84 percent because of the
use of the natural fiber and this includes synthetic fiber in ratio to 16 percentage
(Made Different, 2019).
