Understanding how ICT and Digital Technologies works:
Strength:
● Structure – I have gained strength in reflection and
communication through participating in many class presentations
in my school walk. I am skilled in presentations, preparing
arguments and drawing conclusions based evidence. I have the
skills to break things down to a level of understanding that is
required.
● Structure – From a young age I developed research in questioning
skills. This acts as an advantage in teaching ICT and Digital
Technology skills such as digital concept mapping. I developed an
interest in films which led me to an early discovery of research
which I use to select and plan tasks.
● Aims – I have a good understanding of the trend in technology
improvements in the ICT industry in Australia. My knowledge in
this area will advantage me in understanding how local/National
networking works, how to make informed and strategic decisions
that affect national technology advancements.
● Rationale - I have an understanding in general aspects of ICT and
Digital Technology and this will enable me to teach students
about shaping their technology futures and making informed
advances in technology. My knowledge in this area comes from my
own experiences coding and programming. I have been actively
involved in this through some knowledge I have achieved from
free code camp.
Weaknesse:
●
Points – "thinking and elucidation abilities to apply in ICT and
Digital Technology ideas to settle on educated choices" (Australian
Curriculum, 2018)is one of the points of showing this territory. This
is a shortcoming that I have. I am mindful of the common sense in
the innovation world. Having taken an interest in it, my insight is
constrained. I should adapt more hypothesis so as my teaching
method is a triumph.
Structure – I have great abilities in the aptitudes strand of the
structure, however without seeing a few perspectives that are
theoritical, it will be hard to sanction aptitudes, for example,
understanding, examination and mechanical thinking. This is a zone
which I should build up my insight for my comprehension of ICT
and Digital Technology to be better.

● Subscribing to journals. There exists a wide variety of journals that provide updated information on technology such as the International Journal
of Science and Technology which will provide me with knowledge and content that I will require in my teaching.

I have perused, these are my strengths:
● Year 3:
ACTDIP010 – I am well equipped and familiar with coding and
programming thus teaching students how to solve problems using
algorithms will not be hard
● Year 5:
ACTDIP016-I have done some personal projects which have enabled me to
learn how to analyse and interpret data to create information. This will
form a good background for me.
● Year 6:
ACTDIP018-I have knowledge in designing digital user interfaces using
databases which will serve as a good platform to improve my knowledge.

● Year 3:
ACTDIP009 – I have a limited familiarity with the diverse existence of data. I
will require more exposure in more data such as meteorological data.
● Year 6:
ACTDIP018-the amount of knowledge I have in this description is very
minimal for content elaboration .I need more training and guidance in this.

General Capabilities:
Strengths
Numeracy – I have numerical abilities in scientific activities, for
example, subtraction, expansion, division and augmentation. I am
additionally great at rates. I utilize these abilities in my every day numerical
tasks.
● Critical and Creative thinking: I have done individual projects
which have enabled me to master the art of creative thinking as I
try to solve problems using algorithms.
● Understanding cultural diversity. I have grown up in a society that
is very diverse culturally which gives me an advantage in
intercultural understanding
● ICT Capability – I have quantitative information in ICT and I possess
a PC at home that I use to become more familiar with this zone . I
trust that I could utilize my insight into ICT to instruct students to
gather, translate ,examine and present information

● ICT Capability – I am unfamiliar with the new technology
advancements that are being made daily. The rate at which
technology is rapidly improving makes me lag behind in this area.
● Critical and creative thinking – I think a major weakness for me will
be toning down knowledge to a beginner student which I will work
on by drawing lesson plans.

Opportunities
● ICT capability – Create a list of resources which I will use to obtain up to date information. I will do this by subscribing to journals and using
Search Engine Optimization to input keywords so as to obtain trending patterns.
● Basic and imaginative reasoning – The most ideal approach to build up my instructional method will be to watch instructors in my training in the
not so distant future. It will be especially troublesome for me to grasp what level to teach for various year levels without being exhibited to a

● Asia and Australia's commitment with Asia – I have a chance to
travel a lot and having travelled through Asia and knowing
Australian land gives me contextual knowledge that I can apply
while teaching Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia.
● Sustainability – I have involved myself in some individual research
in sustainability as I have an interest in building an ecofriendly life.
I am also aware of practises the community have been undertaking to
support sustainability. This includes enacting environmental
friendly means to dispose hardware that is not in use or outdated.
● Native and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures – as much
as I may have some foundation in culture and narratives around
there, my insight is insignificant. I require some learning to
assemble my teaching method to guarantee my exercises are

knowledge in this area but it is not enough since my awareness in
