Introduction
Information Technology (IT) is having a huge role in the success of an organization.
It provides many benefits to organizations in terms of enhancing performance,
competitive advantage, and many others. Ethics play a key role in IT, as most of the
business processes are having dependencies on each other. Therefore, ethics
provide help to resolve ethical dilemmas in an organization because of IT (Brown &
Ulijn, 2004).
There are many issues in the implementation process of new systems of IT in an
organization. Information Communication and Technology (ICT) is helpful for
managing different issues and challenges of an organization related to the
implementation and maintenance process of an IT system. Ethics play a key role to
uses information systems and information technology in an organization (Al-Saggaf,
et al., 2017).
An organization can manage its business operations in an easy way through
information technology. In addition, there are many practice frameworks available
in the market to manage IT governance, such as COBIT (Control Objectives for
Information and Related Technologies), ISO/IEC 27000, and many others.
In this report, ethical and IT governance will explain using a framework and it will
provide details about IT governance and its uses in an enterprise to manage their
business processes. It will use the virtue framework to understand the role of ethics
and IT governance in an organization. This report will provide recommendations for
the company and based on ethics and IT governance to implement new IT systems
to manage their business functions properly with high performance.
The virtue Framework
Many frameworks are used to analysis of ethics and IT governance, such as duty
framework, virtue framework, and consequentialist framework. The virtue ethical
framework will use in this report to describe the role of IT governance in the
company (SFIA, 2019).

The Westfield Group has more than 100,000 products online. It has faced changes
in the behavior of shoppers because of technology-enabled services. Technology
makes shopping easy but it makes a huge impact on shopping centers. The
company wants to make a successful model to build a shopping mall, which will
have large, long-lasting, and good quality.
Westfield has implemented the retail ecosystem in 2012 by Westfield Labs. It was
an innovative system, which has mobile, digital market opportunities to attract
digital shopper with the physical world.
Westfield has learned many things from their implementation of the ecosystem in
their business process. It is the best way to include digital technologies in business,
which provides many benefits. However, it requires ethics and IT governance to
implement and develop new systems in the company. In addition, digital
technologies integrate all the things at the same platform, which provide help to
shoppers to find their needs in their local Westfield shopping center.

The virtue framework of ethical theories is used to manage ethical issues in an
organization. The software development industry has many issues related to their
quality and services. Therefore, it is necessary to manage those issues using ethical
theories, such as rights theory, virtue theory, and many others (Wright, 2011).
