1ICT BUSINESS INFORMATICS Answer 1 The company I work for has a place for formal IT Governance framework. In my company few principles are followed for structuring the decision making bodies. These key principles are as follows A closer alignment should be followed between the strategic objectives in the company’s strategic plan and decision making structure in order to ensure that the structures of decision making are fit for the delivery of the strategy (Butler and Rodrick 2015). An efficient approach to the process of decision making should be adopted that would lead to clean objectives, cleaner lines, accountability and reporting, high quality of outcomes and reduction in the time required in reaching a business critical decisions. The main committees should focus on various matters of the strategy as well as policy with various operational matters that are dealt with the help of relevant professional staff in the consultation with the ad hoc and with colleagues working groups according to the necessity. The minimization of business that is considered by various groups with the help of proper reporting lines between the appropriate accountability and decision making bodies is a must. A proper delineation between the management and the governance should be maintained. I have compared my result with my fellow classmates. The company of one of my classmates does not have any IT policies or different structures for the decision making the body (Selig 2018). The company of other classmate has a bit different policies compared to the ones my company follows. The principles followed are as follows
2ICT BUSINESS INFORMATICS ď‚·The papers that come forward to the committees must have contained proper evidence based proposals in order to consider them. ď‚·An effective communication should be maintained among the decisions to all the related parties through the company. Answer 2 Australian standards provide a particular framework to the directors, to who people of the organization seek for advice or to whom people delegate numerous responsibilities in order to manage the security, IT, strategy, finances and the operations of the organization like technical specialists, senior managers, service providers and vendors to meet various obligations for the usage of ICT in various organizations. SomefactsunderAustralianstandardincludeplanningICTinordertohelpthe organization perform well, acquire ICT validity, ensuring that the ICT performs properly, whenever necessary and many more. In my company I have come across an Australian Standard of planning. We were assigned for a new project and a new group was formed including people with different specifications (Lloyd, Downes and Romeo 2016). We were told to carry out the project by ourselves. We had to plan firs regarding how the project would be executed and people are divided into sub groups according to their specializations. We divided the project as well into different parts and different parts are carried out by different groups depending on their specialty. This helped the project to execute smoothly as well as effectively. I had come across this Australian standard because planning is very important for any project or thought that has to be executed (Al-Saggaf, Burmeister and Weckert 2015). The success and effectiveness of a project depend on the planning is done and the way it has been executed.
3ICT BUSINESS INFORMATICS Answer 3 I have not come across any compliance legislation while fulfilling an ICT task but I would discuss regarding the Australian legislation that I have come across during my internship (Daly2018).Allthedatathatarecreated,receivedandusedbynumerousAustralian Government agencies is subjected to Archives act. This needs to be managed depending on its value. One of the Australian standard legislation that I faced was data security. We were taught regarding various ways to improve the security of information related to the organization as well as personal data. This data should be secured in order to keep them safe from numerous cyber criminals who may hack the website of the organization to get access to sensitive data and use it for ill purposes. We were informed regarding the time when the company faced a cyber threat and the ways by which they coped up with its outcomes. Numerous efforts have been taken in order to explain the law of data security to the members of the internship group. This Australian legislation is very important for consideration because the security of data is of utmost importance for every organization (Caron, Bosua and Maynard 2016). They need to secure their data using various data security laws and factors.
