discussed for selection of best methodology for this company. A recommendation has been

Task 1: Report
Introduction
This report is highlighted on the Australian Fashion Designs (AFD) and their operational
planning for adoption of new information technology for development of their operational
planning. However, the report assesses different types of methodologies, as well as a
recommendation, has been provided for selection of best methodology for the adoption of the
better software in business.
Implication of methodologies
Methodology 1 : Accounting software
As per increasing business transaction in large volume, it is necessary for adoption of right
strategic planning for furnishing financial reporting in a progressive manner. However,
application of this software in ADF would be supportive for making their different report in a
significant manner. Balance sheet, as well as income statement preparation, becomes easy. In
this organization for accomplishments of operational work in a progressive manner financial
accounting packages would be supportive for making their performance in a better way by
controlling their additional cost1.
Advantages
 Advantage of application of these methodologies in this organization provides better
opportunity for accomplishment of operational work in a positive way.

 Decline in wastage of financial resources is necessary for accomplishment of work in a
positive support for meeting demand of customer in an easy way by analysis of the user
are not involved in the process directly which has a negative impact for growth of
company in a systematic manner.
Disadvantages
 As per application of accounting software in AFD there are several disadvantages also if
the management does not poses the information about the handling of software it may
leads to decline in operating profit of business.
 Increase in additional pressure on employees for taking training as well as other support
for understanding the operational way of handling this software in a systematic process.
Methodology 2 Unified Process Developments
Unified Process developments methodology can be supportive for identification of who does
what as well as when it is completed and it provides information about project goal when it can
be reached. However, it is considered as incremental and iterative methodology, used for many
components based architecture as well as unified language for the modeling. This process
includes 4 aspects of the software development as the most significant such as product, project,
people and process. Applications of case define specific functionality and they are an artifact of
need. Utilization of multiple use case, case model utilizations provides foundation for
improvement process.
Advantages
Unified Process developments are utilized for development of software project which is
supportive for ADF and it provides following advantages such as

Methodology 3: Extreme programming
Extreme programming is another methodology under Agile and it is used on the basis of some
principles such as end user involvement throughout the project, proficient communication among
team members, etc. They build the base for the success for the project. Along with this, XP
includes weekly updates/cycles.
Advantages
If application of the XP methodology that is utilized in context to development f software
projects for then these project can be following advantages.
 In this process less documentation are necessary for these reasons development of
projects can be easily developed.
 This programming language application provides better opportunities for enhancing oval
growth of business in progressive manner and it supports reduction of financial resources.
 It is user-friendly and easy to handle for this reasons most of business organization in
retail sectors prefer these software for development of their operating systems for
increasing their performance level
 This methodology is supportive for working in teamwork from the same location and
these types of application provides better opportunities for enhancing overall growth of

Disadvantages
 Programming software mainly utilizes the coding language than use of designing

guidelines for defining the roles and rules for meetings3.
Advantages
Adoption of SCRUM methodology can be utilized for improvement of software project for the
Australian Fashion Designs, and then the project can have following advantages

proper utilization of development plan.
• This methodology provides better facilities in context to control daily meetings as it would be
supportive for assessing the productivity of each team members

Recommendation
 An appropriate methodology which can be selected based on the current project need, as
