The functional structure is formed in a way that each section of theorganisation is arranged according to their purpose. This functional structure works extremelywell for smaller business. A divisional structure is commonly used by big companies thatoperate in a broad field. The divisional structure can be costly the reason for this is because ofits size and scope. Smaller companies can also use the divisional structure at a smaller scalebusiness. The Matrix structure is a mix of divisional and functional structures, It’s usuallyused by large multi-national companies, the matrix structure allows a functional anddivisional structure to be used within the company in different departments.[ CITATIONSul18 \l 2057 ].Snap Inc. currently operates in aFunctional structurethis is because Snap Inc. have highlytalented individuals which include, software engineer, product managers, and designers theyall work in a group depending on their specialties.
