Impact of Tent Embassy on Indigenous Australians

This study analyzes the historical event of Tent Embassy and its effect on the lives of Indigenous Australians. The Tent Embassy was a protest movement established in 1972 to fight for political rights and land rights for Aboriginal Australians. It had a significant impact on raising awareness and commitment to protect the rights of Indigenous people. The movement demanded complete rights to Northern Territory, ownership and mining rights, preservation of sacred sites, and compensation for lands. The event led to the introduction of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act of 1976, which recognized the land rights of Indigenous people.
