Selection of Operating System
As per the client requirement, the Windows server 2012 is the best solution as a operating
system. Because the client wants to host the a website and here the IIS server is used for hosting
purpose. Moreover, the DNS server is also used for Domain Name Resolution. One the other
hand the windows server is provide more security then any other operating system. Therefore,
We select the windows server 2012 data enter.
Installation of Windows Server 2012 as Virtual Machine in VMware
Prior to installation of windows server 2012 like virtual machine a large number of things
should be taken into considered like
 Installation of 2GB or more memory which is needed for Hyper V.
 The system should have processor which has Intel VT technology support.
 Around 50 GB hard drive space is needed for Hyper V machine installation.
Installation comprises of many steps like
 Clicking File from Menu and selecting New Virtual Machine.
 After that Custom option needs to be chosen and next button is required to be clicked.
 Workstation 9.0 needs to be hardware compatibility and then next button needs to be
clicked.
 Microsoft windows is chosen as guest operating system OS. After that next button is
clicked.
 Under the processor configuration, 4 cores of processor are chosen and next button is
clicked.

 Required RAM of 6 GB needs to be installed on the virtual machine. The next option is
clicked.
 After that NAT option is chosen and an individual need to make use of virtual machine.
 A selection is made with respect to disk capacity and proper size around 90 GB is chosen
for installing virtual machine.
 In the last step, the individual can easily see all the required information at this particular
place.
