INTRODUCTION
Supply Chain Management refers to the process of handling the entire production that is
flow of goods and services starting from the raw materials to the final product that has been
deliver to the customer (Barbosa, M. W. and Et.al., 2018). A company creates a supply chain of
networks that move the product from the manufacturers to those who deal directly with the
organizations. This report is going to discuss on the IKEA company which is a Swedish
multinational conglomerate company that deals and designs ready to bring together furniture,
home accessories, kitchen appliances among other meaningful goods as well as occasional
services for home. This company has been found by a young boy Ingvar Kamprad in the year
1943. The firm is very well known for its modernized designs for several types of furniture and
appliances. And also it has been known for its eco-friendly interior designs.
MAIN BODY
Analysis and process of new product development.
Operations and supply chain management refers to that broad area activities that covers
both service and manufacturing activities, which involves functions such as sourcing, operations
planning, managing material, supply chain networks or distribution, retail, logistics, forcasting
the demands, fulfilment of orders and may more (Batista, L. and Et.al., 2018). It provides
systems and structures to the IKEA company to execute supply of goods and services to the
final party that is consumer. Effectiveness can be maximize by evaluate both internal operations
and extended chain of supply. The IKEA is focusing on to develop new product to the market
place. Generally it means to create new innovative ideas to the new ones or to the existing ones
to modified the product to serve better with improved and creative quality. The company wants
try to modified their ideas in furniture line as they think to create a sofa in a geometric shape
with different types of colours and materials in leather or in wooden that gains customers
attraction. It must be create with an intention of achieving customer market with defined objects
where the new product resolves the issues of consumers plus offers great differentiation over
competitors and technologies gives the new face to these innovations and developments. These
does not development in a easy ways as it requires lots of research, ideation, planning, finding
sources to develop, planning for costing which match with the revenue too for the company. The
