ORGANISATION.
INTRODUCTION
Change management is defines about the certain methods or procedures in which
organisation describes and implement change within assess of both internal and external process.
In this, effective communication plays an important role to generate chances of success. It is
majorly involves about supporting employees to establishing the essential steps for changes and
monitoring pre and post change to activities for ensure successful implementation (Domingues &
et. al 2017). As per the importance of organisation change can be challenging where it often
enhance many level to create cooperation and involves different independent identities within the
company. For developing the structure approach for changing a critical help as ensure a
beneficial transition while mitigating disruption. The present will be looking over the concept of
change management and different change management strategies that are implemented by
organisations in order to make sure that appropriate steps are being implemented by them for
addressing the requirement of change within their entity.
LITERATURE REVIEW
To determine the notion of change management.
According to the Bart Perkins, 2018. The change management is the process in which it
obtain several approval for implementing changes towards the scope, timeline or having proper
budget of project. As the top level management or expertise are consider change management as
per the situation requirement for better processing, approving and installing about new piece of
equipment with a better cloud instance and new release application. In perspective of (Brat
2018), he quote that change management only appears when organisation is searching for new
innovation or wants to attempt a unique work style or strategies which drive new creativity and
enhance manpower efficiency (Doppelt, 2017).
As in (Brat, 2018) said that employees or staff are the backbone for the retail company
similarly for strength is their staff which they contribute for company to selling product and
service to right customers. There is one practise is require to better understand change
management is bring more innovative ideas in business which give new benchmark of success as

well as it increase decision making power. As if in organisation like Tesco, Asda and IKEA is
planning to product development which apparently many business does, in this situation
innovation or critical thinking plays an important role to create effective thinking process and
outcomes generates that create benchmark.
Some of the concepts which are highlight towards change management implies in retail
companies is Communication Strategy that ensuring efficient communication channel between
the different services department which is personal involved of essential condition towards post
effectively. Company Culture: As it is consider to be an artificial body in which number of
people are join together constitute it. Therefore it has own personality in which own internal
culture where it is form by employees on the basis of their attitudes and values behavioural
norms within effective manner. For example: Companies like Tesco, Asda, Marks and Spencer
these all are UK based retail company and they follows the guidelines of UK corporate culture.
ROI: It stand for return on Investment where it indicates about how successful change enhance in
business (Skogland & Hansen, 2017).
According to the views of Perkins. B. (2018), in the modern world of IT, change
management have taken different faces and appearances. Different project managers take change
management as the process to attain the approval on the respective time scale scope and agendas
of a certain project as well as to approve the budget involved in it to make the project successful.
But in consideration with a respective organisation, it is determined that different group of
company e have different approaches, frameworks and languages of their own to deal with
changing environment within the organisation and in the marketplace according to the agendas
as well as a means of the company.
As per Sheila Cox, the change management ensure that all the new processes and procedures
that are being implemented within the organisation in respect to a particular project are
effectively adopted by the people of the entity and by those who are directly linked with the
work being conducted. According to the author the organisational change Management concept
our practice is needed to be undertaken by the company whenever it undertakes a program or
event which are going to be implementing number of changes in day to day operations of the
organisation (Waddell & et. al. 2019).
These changing scenarios of the entity can impact the regular working environment and
procedures such as change in roles and responsibilities of an individual for different teams within

the company. This is a key stage where the organisation do need to implement change
management strategies. It is an evident impact for an employee to resist to change as we get
extremely comfortable in the job roles assigned to them. For example if a particular individual
who is working in the IT sector of any organisation is asked to move on and pick up the
responsibility of the social media platforms of the entire organisation. The individual will
automatically resist to the change if there is no motivating factor. Thus, the management had to
take up the responsibility for addressing the change and encourage the individual by using varied
techniques to convince the individual to take up the responsibility and motivate them (Buick,
Blackman & Johnson, 2018).
Another situation in which change management is needed to be implemented by the company
is when itself the organisation is moving to certain changing scenario. In simple words according
to the authors it is identified and presented that executive teams of a company go under several
debates before bringing any major change within the entity. This is done to make sure that each
member gets appropriate time and deep understanding of the change that is being taken place and
also so to provide their arguments or favourable opinion in order to implement that respective
change effectively and be aware about it.
Along with it the author have also focus upon different requirements through which a
respective organisation can achieve success while implementing change plans and developing
their change management programs. The first and foremost aspect to be focused upon and to
look over is the right executive sponsor. This means that the organisation needs to focus upon the
responsible persons for organisational change management as they needed to develop the case
for change and octane necessary resources for introducing and pursuing with the change
management phenomena. Is a very important and evidence factor that the sponsor need to
understand the case for change effectively and clear enough holding appropriate this detailed
information about all the respective opportunities as well as the challenges organisation may face
while doing so and while going through the change management process (Brones, de Carvalho &
de Senzi Zancul, 2017).
Another important factor which leads to success of change management within an
organisation is cultural willingness to adapt the respective change and to work accordingly. The
author states that for a company to be successful and effective while bringing in changes within
their operations it is important to look over the culture of the organisation and to make sure that

the people as well as the environment is supporting the respective change and taking it positive
manner. resistance to change is a common phenomena which takes place and that is needed to be
broken for the company to effectively implement change.
To examine the different strategies of change management.
According to Flonnuala Courtney, (2020). Change management comprise effects most
important assets and people. In opinion (Courtney, 2020) it is interpreted that issues need to be
identified and it is main practice for change management before implies strategies where
communication is one of top challenge issues tend to seen within failure to communicate when
the change occurs where conflict arises between top level and medium level management in this
employees get to suffer within their performance. Implement of change without provide any
guidance or training to staff can create problem for example if Marks and Spencer and Burberry
enhance similar kind of machinery opted for making their services efficient, and the superiors are
not provided enough instruction how to operate. Thus, this unethical behaviour can creates
negative implication on staff performance. As loosing people employees is costly where due to
associated about recruitment cost and the time involved which is getting new employees up to
enhance better speed (Hayes, 2018).
Each time an employees where walks through door, essential intimate about gathering
proper knowledge to business with them. In perspective of (Brat, 2018) he said that to bring
change management there is need to new innovation at the time of staring new process in
busines. But (Courtney, 2020) is have different perception of effective change management that
it only arise through discussion and manpower skills and knowledge level enhance better
effective change management. As in situation of retail business there are strategies also prevent
better work process for new objective desire to attained. Some of strategies about change
management used to follow within For example Tesco and Asda Stores company is Recognizing
problem this is one of first step to get analyse what is exact issues is raising where the strategy
that means about significant that effective recognisable towards business and the expense to
improve specific problem which create chaos.

strategically, financially, and ethically. This step can also assist you to determine the value of the
change, which will quantify the effort and inputs you should invest. It further may include for
Tesco company that include to analyze about business experience where customer experience as
in role of senior employees interact with customer get to directly may end with new customer
most directly within requirement in their roles. To prepare about management is possibility of
completely reorganizing the company’s management practice. Effective management of change
provides a structured, consistent, and measurable change environment to be utilized across an
organization and is a critical component in the success of its daily business. Its goal is to increase
awareness and understanding of proposed changes across the organization and ensure that all changes
are made in a thoughtful way that minimizes negative impact to services and customers
(Rosenbaum, More & Steane, 2018).
By constructing new strategy which is important as it provide new vision and mission to
accomplish towards business betterment. As by using existing strategy will not provide too much
success and in competitive market many competitors are objective to overtake the market within
effective manner as per new market trends and retaining or acquire more to more customers. The
computing systems, networks, peripherals, and associated facilities are subject to continuous changes
driven by new technology, evolving business requirements, changing contractual requirements, and
growing regulatory policies. Effective change management applies to both systems and supporting
infrastructure, and is a necessary component for the continuous success and growth of the
organization.
Benefits of change management
As per the opinion of Connelly. M. (2021), change management is defined as a planned
and managed procedure by the company which the organisation already explores and while
doing so the company gets to know about different benefits they are going to enjoy by implement
the specific change plan. This is one major factor which act as a motivator and encouragement
for the top level management of the entity to go through the whole process of organisational
change management and bring in new to operational processes within the organisation. For
instance hospitality, hospitality businesses are highly in danger due to the covid-19 pandemic
and abroad number of changing situations and scenarios in front of the entire hospitality industry
to deal with. Different organisations belonging to the sector large or small are taking a number of

different change management practices in order to bring in the best solution for themselves to
handle the crisis and to deal with the situation going on in the market.
For example accommodation service providers like Inter Continental hotels group and
JW Marriott are planning to implement more and more technological resources for keeping their
customer intact as well as attracting new large customer base from around the world. Another
example, of Tesco and other regional organisations within the United Kingdom have
implemented number of change in strategies which involve Technology in their operations for
keeping their customer base interact and attracted to their services.
All these organisations do not just implemented the change but have also looked over the
critical senile use and aspect of these changing situations. The companies have looked over the
changing scenario and the situation within the world due to covid-19 and accordingly developed
different plans through which we can keep their customer base in that as well as looked over
number of benefits they are going to enjoy in future due to bringing change in their operations
which acted as a motivating factor for them to bring in change and to effectively work for it.
There number of other benefits as well which are highlighted by the authors such as
faster response to customers and their demands, dining existing resources with the new develop
changed plans, increase customer services and effectiveness and many more.
In regards to the benefits of change management according to the opening of Gallagher.
P. (2021), the authors provided a unique set of benefits like, minimising risk and disruptions,
optimise clarity efficiency and contingency, enhance communication and moral, align change
with business strategy, gaining a competitive edge and staying within budget. The author in the
respective work presents entirely a new prospective over the benefits of change management to
the organisations. The first benefit which is highlighted is clear framework and best practices,
according to which it is stated that before implementing change the company needs to gain
experience with a proven set of best practices that result in improvement of the operations
(Matthews & et. al. 2018.
The next benefit which is suggested by the author to the organisation by implementing
effective change management programs is reduction in the level of risk and distractions they will
be facing. Organisations like Tesco, Walmart, marks and Spencer international businesses which
are dealing in different geographical locations with different types of customer base. Risk
management and reduction is a very important aspect that is needed to be focused upon while

they are implementing change within their operations and different work areas. Therefore, this is
highlighted that change management offers the organisation to look over the respective risky
areas and to make appropriate actions as well as processes in order to reduce the use risks and
even to mitigate them to in the most effective manner possible.
The third benefits of change management to the organisation which they enjoyed by
following a set framework is the clarity the entire phenomena provides in terms of direction, fast
way to use while going through the operation, using different resources and planning and many
other areas. The managers of the company who are working over bringing change and managing
it effectively holds appropriate insight to make plans and accommodate them with effective
elements and resources. Along with it there are also focused upon responsibilities they hold and
ud number of barriers for road blocks they are going to be experiencing while doing so. Hence,
effective planning and robust techniques enable apparent clarity, effectiveness and consistency to
the managers and enable them to work in the most efficient manner by removing all the barriers
or challenges that comes in the parts while dealing with changing scenario and implementing
change plans (Lenz & Viola, 2017).
CONCLUSION
The work above effectively concludes that change management is one of the most
important and essential process which different organisations follow and need to follow in order
to make sure they are dealing with all the different scenarios and situations occurring within the
business environment in the most effective manner. Change management is a very strong notion
that provides clarity and conciseness to businesses for dealing with different challenging
situations and changing scenarios. There are number of strategies and benefits enjoyed by larger
international organisations As well as other businesses while the implement change and bring in
new processes for addressing the critical requirements of critical situations and making sure that
