2CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF AN ARTICLEIntroductionThe intention of this paper is to critically analyze the article, The Impact of LeadershipStyle on Employee's Motivation. The article that is critically analyzed in this paper, chieflyhighlights the mixed method of study that is intended to evaluate the relation between the takenleadership study and the motivation of the employees in a petrochemical company that is situatedin the eastern part of Saudi Arabia. A survey was made and that was distributed to the employeeswho work in two departments. Apart from that among the focus group of 10 employees aninterview was conducted in order to validate the results or the outcome of the survey (Alghazoand Al-Anazi 2016). The article that is being analyzed in this paper highlights that there is apresence of relationship between the style of leadership and the motivation of the workforce. Thearticle further highlights that the correlation is positive with style of transformation; on the otherhand the correlation is negative with the style of transaction. The aim of the article that is reviewed in this paper was to critically evaluate theperception of the employees of the department in a privately owned organization regarding thefactors of motivation and how these factors are directly related to the styles of leadership. Thus aquestionnaire is developed which was actually taken from a study similar to the topic of thisarticle. The chief research questions of the article are how the employees of the organization seethe relationship between motivation and leadership, whether the workforce is extrinsically orintrinsically motivated, how the business leaders motivate the workforce and what the leaderswant to motivate the employees in future (Alghazo and Al-Anazi 2016).
