INTRODUCTION
There are three types of organisation which is divided in to three sector such as public,
private and voluntary sector. In public sector number of group are working together and make
profit, in private organisation gains special profit by running business activities and in voluntary
sector number of people or trusty works collective for social welfare (Bromley and Orchard,
2016). The present report will emphasis on voluntary sector who works for public and provide
them satisfaction. The report will contain public services which is provided by voluntary sector,
difference and similarities between two organisation.
Task 1
P1 About third sector organisation
The third sector is fast growing sector of UK economy who works for social welfare and
non profit organisation. The main aim of this sector is make feel good to public which help to
share the social values, customer loyalty instead of shareholder profits. It contains charities,
contribution, voluntary and community bodies for filling social objectives. The two organisation
such as Oxfam and the cancer research that is voluntary organisation based on UK. Oxfam is
organised by 20 independent charitable industry that focuses on remove the global poverty. It
was founded in 1942 by Oxfam international. Oxfam is a non profit organisation who works for
poor people to lift them out of poverty.
Vision- Its vision is to make a world without poverty. Every one should be treated
equally and independently which help to improve the development of country (Dury and et.al.,
2015).
Values- Its culture is shaped by Oxfam value that contains five core values such as
accountability, equality, empowerment, inclusiveness and sustainability in order to provide
satisfaction to poor people.
Goals- To eliminate the poverty and there should not be difference among rich and poor
people. Additionally, people should be happy after obtaining services from this organisation.
On the other side, Cancer research is UK based company which help to research about
cancer in order to reduce the number of death. In present many people are suffering from cancer
who has no fixed treatment, because of this number of death are increasing. So this organisation
is doing on cancer and finding a treatment in order to remove this problem. It was established on

4 February 2002 in United Kingdom. The main aim of this organisation is to increase the
awareness charity about cancer and get best treatment.
Vision- To save the people's lifer and aware them which help to prevent from cancer
diseases. Additionally, its vision is to create the world where no one should be fear from cancer.
Values- To serves as guidelines for conducting good behaviour and get the treatment of
this serious problem.
Goals- The main goal of Cancer research is to reduce the number of death who are
suffering from cancer and prevent them from cancer by providing treatment of disease.
Both organisation, Oxfam and Cancer research charity work closely with public services
such as public awareness, charity, social welfare, work for non profit, solve health care issue and
provide public satisfaction which help maintain customer loyalty and leads to development of
country (Herlin, 2015).

M1 Role and cultural objectives of organisation
Oxfam and Cancer research is third sector's organisation who works for social welfare
and make feel them good. Oxfam is voluntary organisation who works for removing poverty and
raising the standard of people. Cultural objectives are stated as national and state policy which
inspire and provides guidance to local government policy. The culture of the organisation may be
dynamic, independent and challenging that consider freedom. The role and cultural objectives of
Oxfam is defined as-
Identify the needs and wants of individual, group and communities: Oxfam play an
important role in economical development by identifying needs and wants of poor people and
provide them best suggestion to over come with problems (Kim and Kim, 2015).
To make efforts in order to remove the poverty: The trusty of Oxfam perform their
duties in emergency situation like flood and draught at large scale. They make efforts to cope up
with this critical situation and give satisfaction.
Cultural objectives
Social development: Oxfam is focusing on people needs and wants and try to fulfil their
needs that leads to social development. It also provides employment opportunity that help to
reduce the poverty and give a better life. The main object is to make feel equal among all people
and solve problems of people.

Environmental development: Oxfam is freely charitable organisation that focuses on to
remove the gap between rich and poor people. It also saves people from drought and flood which
may arises at any time that help to increases the environmental development.
Cultural objects: Oxfam company focuses on culture that represent the beliefs, policies
and regulation which help to collect the funds from public and contributes in the removing the
poverty of individual and group. It impact on human behaviour such as people get feel good after
obtaining employment and get filling needs (Nencini, Romaioli and Meneghini, 2016 ).
Role of Cancer research charity Oxfam
To adopt the new technology and get the solution of Cancer: It plays a role such as to
adopt new technology in order to get research of Cancer and save the people's life.
To work for society and make feel them healthy: Cancer research community uses
new technology and skilled person to work for social welfare and make feel them good.
Cultural objectives
Social development: In UK the cancer researcher collects and analysis the information
about people who are facing from Cancer disease and research on this, in order to provide
treatment. They does experiment on animals like mice and see the result which help get solution.
Environmental development: The researcher conducts some programme in order to
reveals that the reason of cancer is chemical in tobacco smoke, radiation from sun and ultraviolet
and etc. This research help in environmental development such as people avoids theses theses all
factors which can be a reason Cancer.
Cultural objects: The Cancer research organisation focuses on cultural objectives such
as it follows the governmental policies and provides best guidance to people in order to prevent
from Cancer that affect the human behaviour such as they get aware and make aware to others
for be attentive from cancer.

The government build number of policies and regulation that impacts on business
organisation. Every business enterprises need to take permission from government to run a
business. The government research about business and check whether this enterprise will be
beneficial for public or not. Such as Oxfam is third sector organisation who focuses on people
needs and wants and try to remove the poverty. It follows policies and regulation which is
governed by government in order to run a business (Nie, Liu and Cheng, 2016).

On the other side, the cancer research charitable organisation concentrates on research to
find the solution of cancer and how it can save the people's life. To run this trust it is following
government regulation which leads to development of country.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned report it has been concluded that third sector such as
voluntary sector is build for social welfare. It includes voluntary organisation who focuses on
identifying the needs of people and make efforts to meet with them. Voluntary organisation are
non profit organisation that run business for society in order to make feel them good. The main
target of third sector is to provide the satisfaction to people and increase their living standary by
providing number of services at free of cost or low cost.
