Global event are event that involve different
people from across worldwide that interested to
visit the event in order to their leisure time.
Furthermore, there are range of global event
organised in different parts of the country and
include lot of media attention.
This presentation is related to one of the global
event named as “2014 FIFA World Cup" that
had took place in Brazil from 12 June to 13 July
2014.

THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE IMPACT OF GLOBAL EVENT ON MACRO
ENVIRONMENT AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON DECISION-MAKING AND
ORGANISATION BEHAVIOUR
POSITIVE IMPACT
The 2014 FIFA World Cup" has lead in generation of lot of employment
opportunities for the people living in Brazil through engaging them in providing
services to tourist that are visiting country to enjoy the game.
Likewise around 15% of 4.8 million formal job has been created as a resulted of
organisation and implementation of “2014 FIFA World Cup" in Brazil. Such as
among them, around 710000 are permanent job and remaining 200000 are
temporary.
On July11, there are around 340000 daily booking of flight has been noticed in
Brazil so, overall it has been estimated that around R$30 billion to the Brazilian
economy has been contributed by “2014 FIFA World Cup"

NEGATIVE IMPACT
It has been identified that around 2.9 million ton of
greenhouse gas emission has been generated because of
FIFA world cup held in 2014.
Among them transportation is one of the major factor that
lead in greenhouse gas emission that is around 83.7%.
Such as the international transportation or flight to Brazil
were responsible for causing emission of 50.6% of total
carbon.
Thus, it has directly negatively impacted on life of people
that are living in the society.
