2IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
Introduction:
With the increasing demand in business to respond to the threats that are caused
with the change of climate different companies are integrating different strategies
including their people, process and technology initiatives. Business initiatives in
response to the change of climate is a widely spread topic consisting of various
activities such as risking fragmentation. This part of the report is prepared so as to focus
on the topic and the reason for which it gained interest among the team while

Discussion:
Reason for selecting the topic:
The impact of climate on the International business strategies is one of the
demanding eras in business sectors that are concerned with the response to the threats
that are caused due to climate change (Kopnina and Blewitt 2018). It is the level of
consumption of energy within their environmental related business management
practices. Governments and other working organizations are also often seen that many
of the companies adopt strategies so as to reduce greenhouse emission while
minimizing adopting policies in order to significantly reduce the global greenhouse
emission of gas (Mårtensson and Westerberg 2016). The change of climate has always
been the major issue that impacts on the adoption of strategically business operations
and hence it is regarded as one of the best topic that could be chosen for the research.
Team’s initial search for relevant literature:
With the increasing number of business organizations, the implementation of
different policies so as to reduce the effect of greenhouse emission has become one of
the long term strategies that business organizations are gradually taking up (Begg, Van
der Woerd and Levy 2018). According to different reports, it is reflected that among the
top companies in the world, about 80% of the business organizations have considered
that the change in climate are more likely to affect their organizations with the growing
consequences of global warming (Hahn, Reimsbach and Schiemann 2015).

3IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
Like any other business organization across the world, the corporate and
business sectors of the North America and other European countries have responded to
the change of climate while following path of aggressive resistance and denial of climate
change while discrediting the climate science through the acceptance of climate science
(Ben‐Amar and McIlkenny 2015). Like any other business organizations, the oil
companies were the fastest to recognize the impact of change in climate in International
Business Strategies so as to reduce the consumption of oil to improve the efficiency of
the increasing sales in vehicles (Sullivan 2017). The most challenging aspect in this
case is the uncertainty in the environmental climate change leading companies to think
of strategies with change of policy.
As a part of International business strategies, companies need to adopt strategy
so as to develop information, expertise and knowledge on change of climate (Fineman
2017). As per report it is seen that Global temperature will continue to rise until and
unless measures are taken so as to stabilize the causes of greenhouse gasses (Kolk
2016). Thus there comes the need to convert the awareness and information into
effective strategic actions in order to respond to climate change.
Research Question:
What are the ways by which change in climate impacts on the International
Business Strategies?
Research problem:
In the following research, the impact of the change in climate in International
Business Strategies would be studied. The problem statement in this regard is to
understand the various reasons for which International Business adopts strategies to
mitigate the impact of change in climate on their business.
