INTRODUCTION
This report will lay emphasis on an individual essay which is based on impact of cloud
computing on businesses in order to providing their service in business environment in which
entity is currently prevailing. This report will cover cloud computing, cloud storage and different
types of cloud for sustainability of businesses. Also, a difference between security and privacy
will be disclosed in this report along with achievement of company's cloud to be secured and
private.

Cloud computing is practice of using remote servers network which is hosted on interned
to manage, process and store data. This means accessing and storing programs and data over
internet instead of hard drive of computer. The cloud computing technology uses remote servers
and internet to maintain application and data (Buyya, Beloglazov, and Abawajy, 2016). It allows
businesses and consumers to access application without installing personal files at any computer
with access of internet.
There are certain benefits which is associated with cloud computing that the recovery of
data is easier and faster by using cloud computing. Also, it access documents and files to
businesses by giving easier access. Therefore, by these attributes businesses adopt cloud
computing. The cloud computing enables companies and businesses to use resources and
applications which is managed by third party company which is stored in high end server
network and computers. Also, the companies may able to manage sustainability and cost
efficiency by using cloud computing in their businesses.
By cloud computing, businesses can work more efficient and save their hardware and
software for some other different operations of their business. Thus, the businesses able to use
available resources effectively, efficiently and to maintain sustainability (Erl, Puttini, and
Mahmood, 2015).
There are certain types of cloud computing which access facility to business to use their
resources efficiently and to grab quick access at their place of comfort. First type is Infrastructure
as a service (IaaS), is a cloud solution which is refers to cloud based computing infrastructure as
a full outsources service (Miller, 2019). Such as Google, Amazon E2C and IBM are some major
IaaS by which company may able to reduce cost of capital expenditure. Also, by using these

solutions businesses can pay only to those service which they want in order to maintain
sustainability.
Another type of cloud computing is Platform as a Service (PaaS). This cloud solution is
more advanced than IaaS and they not only provide infrastructures but also provide platform and
solution stack as a part of service. Some major PaaS cloud solutions are Google App Engine,
Force.com and Rackspace Cloud sites. By this cloud solution, businesses able to reduces their
cost by less investment in software and hardware. Also, these solutions need not require to
upgrade or update for managing sustainability in businesses.
Third type is Software as a Service (SaaS) providers. This software is fully functionally
application which is web based on customers demand. Also, the targets for this software are
businessman and web conferences, CRM, email and ERP are included in this software. Some
examples of companies which offer SaaS are NetSuite, Citrix, etc.
Next is Recovery as a Service (RaaS) is also a type of cloud computing service which is
adopted by mid size companies. It protects, sustain and aid companies which recover entire data
and servers. There are few companies which offer Raas are WindStream business, Geminare,
nScaled, etc. in order to prevent losses of important data of companies, Also, it is an way which
is cost effective of data recovery (Almorsy, Grundy, and Müller, 2016).
Cloud storage is model in which data is managed, maintained, backed up remotely, and
also made available to users over network. It involves data on hardware in remote physical
location. This can be accessible from any device through internet. In this service of cloud
computing, data is managed and maintained.
The users are allow to save their files online and they can access them at any location
through internet. The providers of cloud storage are responsible for keeping data accessible and
available (Kandukuri, and Rakshit, 2019). Also, protect them from running and scanning is
responsibility of these providers only in order for gaining sustainability in business. The cloud
storage access through web service application programming interface commonly called as API
or by colocated cloud computing service.
By cloud storage businesses is able to review their files and documents any where. Also,
they are free to drop and drag files in between by enable files to save in cloud storage. The
businesses also can avoid mailing files to individual and can send a link of web to them through
mail. It is also an advantage of cloud storage is that stored files can be accessed by businesses

anywhere through the internet connections. Also, the recovery of lost data and documents for any
businesses is easy by using cloud storage as a back up plan (O’Driscoll, Daugelaite, and
Sleator, 2015).
Certain other types of cloud are public cloud, private cloud and hybrid cloud. The
businesses have many options when they enter into the world of cloud because of wider
acceptability developers has developed a huge variety of cloud for businesses enable them to
work with ease, quick and sustainable manner.
Public cloud used to connect services and customers to internet by providing inexpenive
and easy access to storage as well as software to them. It is highly accessible by public so
organisations hesitate to put sensitive data on public cloud applications. The reason is valid
because data is not secure in public cloud application. Some examples included are Google app,
Salesforce.com, Amazon Simple Storage Service, etc.
Next is Private cloud which is mainly used by large organisation and data remains
secured for the businesses who chooses private cloud. This is operated for single organisation
with their firewall in order to restrict access towards data of businesses. Also, it provides greater
security for information which is provided by businesses. A private cloud allows businesses to
customize their data and application.
Hybrid cloud is a combination of both cloud that is private and public cloud. It provide
cost effective scalabilty for businesses. Also, business can take benefits if computing and
resources for typical need on private cloud without any extra investment.
Therefore, businesses adopt different types of cloud in their business operations to
manage and maintain sustainability.
The responsibility for personal security and privacy while using internet in business.
Security and privacy are both different from each other however they are used interchangeably
but actually they are far different from each other. Here are some differences which will give
clear reflection of security and privacy.
Security is a state on which personal freedom. Also, on this state potential threat is low.
On the other hand, privacy means being free from an unwanted condition (Napper, and
Bientinesi, 2019).

On the basis of objectives, Security safeguards confidential data and other relevant
information by unauthorized access. It affects cyber and information security both while privacy
is rights of organisation as well as individuals in accordance with personal information.
Security program is a set of protocol and regulation which in place to protect confidential
information resources and asses. It focuses only on information and data not on any personal data
of individuals. While privacy program is focusing on protecting personal information only like
credentials and password.
Security can be achieved without privacy but privacy can not be achieved without
security. Security protects all type of information and data but privacy only protects sensitive
data which is related to organisation and individuals.
Also, security provide integrity, confidentiality and information availability but privacy
only protects rights of processing personal data.
How to achieve privacy and security in companies cloud.
Companies are achieving privacy and security by company's cloud through always stay
extra conscious towards copies of business data with one original and hard copy as well as soft
copy. Also, the companies put their data to stay secure with them. Companies in order to attain
privacy never share their sensitive data on cloud (Doukas, Pliakas, and Maglogiannis, 2018).
They always keep with them all the sensitive information and data. The companies also
encrypt their data for stay protected while using cloud storage. Companies always secure their
data with enabling password to safeguard their content. Also, they manage an anti virus so that
their data might not get corrupted along with access limitation on their files and information
which help them in managing their jobs.
CONCLUSION
This report was all about impact of cloud computing in business to provide services in current
business environment in which company is prevailing. The report was about sustainability in business
while using cloud storage and other type of clouds. Also, difference between both privacy and security
was also disclosed in this report. Achievements of company by securely and private using company's
cloud.
