3IMPACT OF CORONA VIRUS IN AUSTRALIA
Introduction
Background of the Study
Considering the current situations, it is important to gain an understanding of
Coronavirus. The World Health Organization have defined coronavirus or CoV as a large
family of virus which essentially causes a common dry cold. However, the severity of the
virus lies in it effectiveness. The researchers have shown that the virus primarily affect or
impact upon our immunity system and this form of virus is very powerful, that it results into
severe respiratory syndromes, like the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV) (Zhu et al., 2020).
Recently, a new strain of the virus have been found, in 2019, which is new with
distinguishing features. The medical researchers and the medicinal practitioners are of the
opinion that the characteristics of the virus is extremely specific and therefore, it is rather
difficult for them to come up with any cure immediately.
Rationale of the Research
The purpose of this research is to develop an understanding among the people
regarding coronavirus and the regarding the causes and impacts of the same. The concept of
corona virus is a new development in the field of medicine and research and eve the doctors
are lacking a complete understanding of the virus and the impacts of the same (Zhu et al.,
2020). Therefore, the research is aimed to develop a complete understanding regarding the
concept, causes and impacts of coronavirus.
Aim of the Research
The first outbreak of the disease was found in the Wuhan city of China, in the Hubei
Province. Gradually the impact of the virus had reached across the world. Therefore, in the

following assignment a research reports has been aimed to be created upon the impacts of
coronavirus. The primary aim of the research is to understand and discuss about the impact of
coronavirus in Australia. However, the research will also discuss about the global impact of
the disease.
Methods Used
The methodology is the most crucial aspect of a research. To conduct a research the
first important point of understanding is the research philosophy. Research philosophy refers
to the belief that lies behind the methods of collection of the data and the analysis of the
same. The following research report has included the interpretivism philosophy to understand
about the impact of coronavirus. The next aspects of the methodology is the research design.
To gain a proper understanding of the study area, the research will include a descriptive
research design. The descriptive research design is more effective for the methods of
interpretivism. Next, the research will include a secondary data analysis method (Kumar,
2019). Since, the primary aim of the research is to develop an understanding of the causes
and the symptoms and the impacts of the virus, therefore, a theoretical understanding have
been aimed to provide in the following research report.
Literature Review
The impact of coronavirus has reached to the stage of the epidemic. In many of the
countries, the schools and the colleges and offices have been closed down. In many of the
nations, the situation has worsened in the past few days, and the sociologists and the political
leaders have determined it to be an epidemic situation. The absence of the antivirus have
further worsened the situation, and since it is spreading at a rapid rate therefore, it is
important to grow an awareness and an understanding of the impact of the virus (Perlman,

2020). Therefore to gain a complete understanding of the research, the definition of the virus
must be understood.
The World Health Organization have recognizes that the coronavirus is a large family
of virus which essentially affects and impacts upon the respiratory system of the human
beings. The affectivity power of the virus is extremely strong, hence, according to the
medicinal researchers people with a low immunity system are likely to get affected soon.
Also, people, characterized with certain physical conditions, cough and cold, influenza,
measles, fever, and the like are more likely to get affected soon (Shen et al., 2020). The HIV
positive people are more at risk, since the virus is tended to affect the pope with low
immunity power.
The corona virus has three unique features. First, it is not communicable through air.
It is more grounded, which makes it all the more effective and dangerous. It can stay on the
hands and the clothes of the people and thus it is very easily communicable. Another
important feature of the virus is that, it is communicable through animals. According to the
researchers, the spreading of the virus in China was first initiated through the consumption of
sea food, and the live animal for, the animal market. As been already mentioned that the
corona virus is a large family of virus, therefore, it is found that the iy6 can be communicated
through camels, dogs and the like. A third important and interesting factors is that, the virus
can be communicated through bats (Anzai et al., 202). The researchers have found that
among the form and types of the virus, there is one beta coronavirus, which can be
communicated through the bats.
Further in the literature, the sources and the symptoms of the virus are important to be
discussed. According to the World Health Organization the virus which has resulted into the
epidemic all across the world, is the SARS- CoV- 2, and the name of the disease is

6IMPACT OF CORONA VIRUS IN AUSTRALIA
coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID- 19. The epicenter if the outbreak had been Wuhan City
of china, and the according the doctors of China the outbreak had been initiated through the
animal market of the country. Gradually, through the communication and commutation, the
virus has gained a global reach, and now every nation is at stake (Read et al., 2020). The
pandemonium situation of china, had led the International Health Regulation Emergency
Committee of the United Nations to declare a situation of public health emergency of
international concern, in January 30, 2020. In the March 13, the government of United States
has also declared the outbreak to be a national emergency.
In this notion, it is important to mention the symptoms that are associated with the
disease. The first symptom of the disease is that the virus causes pneumonia. Since there is
very few primary resources, therefore, a complete understanding of the symptoms could only
be collected from the doctors. Now, since thus is an extremely new development, therefore,
even the doctors have a limited idea about the symptoms (Bassetti, Vena, & Roberto
Giacobbe. 2020). However, the doctors have opined that all the patients suffering rom
coronavirus has said to have a regular cough, fever and a difficulty in breathing. The doctors
have opined that in an apparent sense it came off as a severe pneumonia, however now of the
antibiotics could work, and even the antivirals for the flus would not works as well. Now,
since it directly impacts upon the immunity system of the people, therefore, in certain cases
the doctors have confirmed multiple organ failure. Now, since the SARS or the COVID 19
has a death rate more than 10% therefore, it is a growing concern of the medical professionals
as well as for the political leaders and the United Nations (Chinazzi et al., 2019).
Now, since on Australia, the death rate or the rate of patients being COVID positive is
still less, therefore the country is investing more on the research process. In the findings
section the impact of the coronavirus in Australia has been discussed.

Findings
The data that have been collected gad essentially focused on the impacts of the
coronavirus in Australia. The virus has severely impacted upon the countries of Asia, United
States and Europe, and in the later countries the situation has turned into public emergency.
However, Australia, the rate of COVID positive people is rather less than these two other
countries, and the government of the country is spending more upon the research projects.
The corona virus has strictly impacted upon the trade systems and in the economic relations
across the world. The researchers have opined that this situation will wallop the economy of
Australia. The rate of unemployment in the country is likely to get increased approaching 7%
and the wage structure of the country is repetitively falling (Hutchens, 2020). The economy
of the country has been hugely affected by the bushfire and the changes in the climate. Now,
according to the researchers, with the arrival of the coronavirus, it is likely that the economy
of the country will be hugely affected and impacted.
Further, the government of the country has decided to invest A$17.6 billion ($11.4
billion), in order to prevent the outbreak of the disease in the country, the political leaders and
the democrats of the country are essentially aiming towards investing in the research and
development field in order to discover the antidote of the virus and thus preventing the
breakout of the disease in the country ("Australia unveils $11.4 billion stimulus to curb
coronavirus impact", 2020). There are 120 people been affected so far in the country, and the
death report has not reached the emergency quotient yet, therefore, the country is aiming to
prevent the pandemic situation as rigorously as possible. Hence, the country is aiming to
establish a research panel in the medical field which is likely to affect the economy of the
country. According to the government of the country, this decision of the country has been
made strategically to ensure businesses and jobs in the country in the future. It is designed in

a way which will supplement the economy of the country in the months ahead (Koukoulas,
Quiggin & Wood, 2020).
Therefore, comparing the situations of Australia with the other countries, it can be
stared that while the mortality rates and the health indexes of the other countries are getting
more affected due to the spread of coronavirus, it is likely that the economic status of the
Australia is likely to get affected more due to the similar reasons.
Limitation of the Study
There are few limitations in the study, which impact the detailing of the research
project, and the effectiveness of the paper can be reduced in the process. The barriers that can
be noted in the process are as follows:
The people do not possess proper knowledge regarding the virus, and that is the
main reason the survey cannot be conducted in the process. Therefore, the primary
data research philosophy is to be referred to in the process.
The boundary is being set in the research as there is a time constraint for the
study, which is a significant barrier, and that is the main reason more detailed and
authentic reports can be formed in the process. This is a recent outbreak of the
disease that has taken place all around the world.
The disease is being spread recently, so the material on the internet is not so
concrete and provides an overview of the current situation so it can be considered
to be a limitation for the study.
The only source of information in newspapers and journals. This is being written
by some people and focuses on the perspective of that individual so it cannot be

9IMPACT OF CORONA VIRUS IN AUSTRALIA
considered to be genuine or authentic in the process. This is also a significant
constraint that came during the preparation of the research project.
There are other constraints as well, such as location and time as it will be helpful
if an interview can be conducted with the WHO (World Health Organization) or
someone who is affected by the disease.
These are the few limitations that have been faced in the process. If this limitation can
be removed in the process, then the paper could have been more effective in the process and
would have to assist in accumulating more detail information regarding the topic. This paper
only provides base knowledge which will be helpful for the other researcher to do in-depth
research regarding the study and help them to achieve success in the process.
Conclusion
In the end, it can be inferred that the government and the people all around the world
require the look after the matter so that they can research the topic and can gather information
in the process. This is essential for the researcher as well as for the ordinary people to look
after the matter so that they can fight against the virus and can stop the infection from
spreading in the process. Therefore, it is crucial to look after the issue so that it can be
prevented from spreading until the antidrug is being invented in the process. Lastly, it can be
said that the paper will provide a base to the other researchers or scholars and enable them to
research more regarding the topic so that human beings can be helped with the vital
information, which will save their life from the deadly virus that is spreading rapidly all
around the world.
