This has a positive effect on the business as well since majority of the business do not need to depend on geographical location for profits. Internet and technology have made it possible to target not only the local audiences but also the global audiences as well. However, there are certain risks associated with e technologies which the suppliers of the technology have overcome over the years. The possible threats and risks of e technologies are discussed in the following section. Risks and Threats of e technology With the benefits of internet and e technology, there are certain risks associated with the technology as well. Internet is the backbone of e technology and there are certain risks associated with the use of internet. One of the significant risks associated with internet is risk of privacy. The online behaviour of the individuals is recorded over the internet that is used for targeted advertisement. This condition is a severe privacy issue and risk that is associated with e technology (Hewitt and Carlson 2017). Apart from that, the use of e technology implies that the digitalidentityofanindividualiscompromised.Recordingoftheonlinebehaviourof individuals helps in targeted advertising. E technology compromises the digital identity of an individual thus leading to a data security risks. The data of an individual stays for a long time over the internet as it is difficult to erase the data from internet. Process of overcoming the risks There are a number of risks associated with the use of e technology that is discussed in the previous section. In order to deal with the issues such as privacy and confidentiality, the technologyprovidersmakeuse of encryption(Bellare,Keelveedhiand Ristenpart2013). Suppliers promise encryption security to the clients that make the use of e technology less risky. The security processes however, needs to be updated on a regular interval in order to ensure that the services offered to the clients are secure. It has been observed that the providers of e technology have been updating their security features in regular intervals. Security features is required in internet as it is prone to malware attacks and data security breach. Apart from encryption it is needed to ensure a secure use of technology. The use of encryption ensures that the information shared is accessed only by the authorized individuals (Drnevich and Croson 2013). Although it is difficult to remove the traces of online presence, an advanced security can help an individual and business in maintaining the privacy. The compromise of digital identity can therefore be prevented by following this method. It is also the responsibility of the suppliers of technology to offer a secure service to the clients. Regular security check of the devices associated with e technology is essential to ensure that there is no active risk associated with the process. Encryption alone may not help in providing an adequate security (Watsonet al.2014). User awareness is also essential to ensure that there is no security risk associated with the technology they have been using. In order to

However, there are certain risks associated with e technology which is discussed in the essay as well. The suppliers make use of encryption as a security measure to reduce the risks associated with the use of e technology. Apart from that it is essential to ensure regular security checks for reducing the risks.
