As per thoughts Maxik, (2017) Drug error is problem for hospitals and healthcareproviders around the world. They occur when wrong medication is provided to patients. Sucherrors can happen at any point in the medication distribution process, from prescribing toadministering. For any medical institution it is essential to reduce drug errors. There arefollowing ways through which healthcare organisation can reduce drug errors:Nurses should ensure correct medication and correct dosage is provided to patients.While transferring patients from one institution to other, Nurses should check data ofpatient from medication administration record(MAR) before giving them any medicine.They should cross check medicine given to patients. When shift of nurse changes theymust verify dosage given to patients.1
