India is ademocratic republic where the president of country is consider as head of state and primeminister is consider as head of government. In addition to this, India follows a dual polity systemi.e. a double federal system which involves central authority at the centre and state at periphery(Mohajan, 2018). The condition of minority in every part of this world is vulnerable, in somecountry they are under the lens of media but in some nations where dictatorship is prevailing,media is not allowed to cover the issues which minorities are facing. Muslims in India from thelargest religious minority in the country, therefore, India is a demographic country and providesopportunity to the individual to promoting culture of its norms. The present study aim toanalysing the role of media and its impact on political practices of Muslim women in India.Media plays vital role in promoting political practices performed by the Muslim women in India.India is a male dominated society in which the economic, political, religious, social and culturalinstitutions are largely controlled by men. This control over women’s livelihood choices andsexuality has survive and evolved over centuries by different discriminatory social practices andinstitutions. An effective collaboration of cast, family, religion and community reinforce ordecriminalise these values related with patriarchal. This report contains the study about the roleof media and its influence on political practices of Muslim women in India. For betterunderstanding of the chosen subject area, aim and objectives are developed that supports theoverall work in right manner. Literature review will also developed to providing support to thework via creating a base of theoretical framework. Along with this, suitable methodologies willalso be selected as to assisting the work in right manner. Background of the ResearchThe proper political participation is consider to be a true indicator of democracy within acountry.
