INTRODUCTIONSupporting a significant life event is considered as the most important aspect under whichdifferent groups related to families, friends and care home plays important role. This assistssufferers to tolerate the pain and come back to normal situation of life where he or she canhandle the personal life effectively. Present report is based on Janet's story in which his friendhurt him for no reasons. It affected his life to a great extent and now he faces issue on relyingothers. Furthermore, impact of significant life events on individuals has been explained alongwith analysis of possible group responses to the same. Furthermore, effectiveness oforganizational policies and procedures for support of individuals is also explained. IN addition tothis possible organizational responses to the need of people have also been analyzed.TASK 1Impact of significant life events on individualsThe significant life events affect individuals to a great extent due to their social, physicaland psychological impact. According to the given case scenario, Janet was in contact with hisfriend, Peter, who stabbed on his face without any reason. This shows both physical andpsychological impact along with the societal changes (Bonanno, 2009). Here, he was inconfusion whether to call police for Peter's act or not. This shows that significant life events hasa direct impact on the normal life of individuals as that person becomes helpless due toemotional and psychological motives. Furthermore, Janet faced emotional stress and startedliving far from Peter to search for a better life. According to the given case scenario, events takesplaces in Janet is threatening as he got pain and sorrows from its close one. Owing to this, he hassuffered with high tension and stress in life. Such kind of event affects the life of individual to agreat extent. Furthermore, Janet has emotional and physical stress both as he started inmaintaining distance from its social life. Though there were several relatives to support him butstill, he started maintaining the distance. Moreover, behavior changes were also seen in Janetafter the occurrence of that specific event.

Analyzing the possible group responses to significant life events that occur to one of its membersThere are several group responses to significant life events such as life partnership,family and friends as well as care workers. According to the given case study, Janet got supportfrom care workers and family as well as from communities (Landau and et.al., 2011). This isbecause; situations were transparent and everybody from his family was knowing about theparticular issue. At this juncture, family members and other connected people who knew aboutthis specific event provided support to him. It has already been provided in the case study thatJanet has some affair for which his friend was jealous, hence that might also be the possiblegroup response for his significant life event. Apart from this, Janet can get extensive supportfrom his loved one in order to get rid of such kind of stressful situation. Moreover, friend circleof Janet may take him on long drive or on long tour where he can have fun and come out of thesituation. This will be helpful for him to get back to the normal life and complete daily routine inan effectual manner. In addition to this, family responded in a positive manner in handlingdifficult situation very easily.Analyzing the impact for others in health and social care when individual experiences significantlife eventsThe significant life event of a particular person has a direct impact on all its associatedparties such as families, friend circle and society (King and Hicks, 2009). At this juncture, healthcare sector provides good support to individuals by treating them in a well manner and makingthem understand way to manage the situation effectively. Furthermore, nursing staff providessupport to Janet to forget the incident and at the same time, his family members were alsoinformed to take care of him. In this manner, health and social care members provide theirextensive support to sufferers and other related people (Luhmann and et.al., 2012).For example,staff members of care home also get affected due to the action or significant life event ofindividual. They try their best to provide the right solution and fix issues which are being facedby the individual. Moreover, emotional staff members have to be strong enough in order handlethe problems of ts patients by seeing such kind of situation of patients like Janet. Apart from this,they need to devote extra time to treat the patient and take him out of the significant life event.
