Introduction
Tourism is the activity of people travelling and staying outside the place their living. It
can be for the purpose of their leisure, business, social or any other. The government used to
manage the tourism sector because it helps in the growth of the economy. There are several
activities which helps the different sectors to enhance their sales in order to satisfy the desires of
the tourist (Murphy, Gretzel and Pesonen, 2019). The direct contribution of GDP is 59.7 billion
and total GDP is 3.2 %. London receives half of all inbound visits to the United Kingdom. In the
year 2018 there were 19.1 million visitors with 18.8 billion overnight visitors who used to stay
outside London. Scotland has 3.5 million and 941000 visitors were welcomed to indirect places.
Government used to make different plans and tourism policies in order to enhance the tourism
sector in the country. The United Kingdom is the world's 10th biggest tourist destination and
industry used to contribute a total of £213 billion to GDP in the year of 2017. Domestic and
international tourism helps in enhancement of the economy. It was recorded that in the year of
2018 a total of 37.5 9 million people visited the UK from the International boundaries and
cumulative spend £22.8 billions. It is important for the state to develop such strategies in order to
develop their tourism sector and such industries which are in related to that.
The government can impose fewer amounts of taxes on such companies which are
working to enhance their people who are visiting the place. This helps them to motivate the
talented entrepreneurs which resulted in the innovative ideas from them. There are several
aspects which help the government to enhance their tourism sector as it is beneficial for them
and helps in generating more job opportunities which can result in development of the economy
(Tourism In United Kingdom, 2021). More money from tourists can be used in order to protect
the natural environment to be maintained by the government on a regular basis. With the help of
the revenue from the tourists the authorities can improve the facilities in the local area to
overcome traffic jams and overcrowding places. This essay report is about the impact of the
tourism sector in the United Kingdom such as economic social environmental overall
management impacts with all positive and negative impacts (Aguiló, Rosselló and Vila, 2017). It
is important for the nation to determine the positive and negative aspects of the tourism sector
industry in the present scenario in order to overcome the negative aspects and help in achieving
the opportunities which are present in the current scenario. There are many countries which only

rely heavily on tourism and one of the nations is the UK only and if tourists stop coming then it
will be a major problem for the nation (Brouder, 2020). The main reason behind the fall in the
sector is due to natural disasters, dispute between the countries or unrest (Brei, Mohan, and
Strobl, 2019).

The tourism sector helps many different sectors such as farming, transportation, retail,
and sports, museum and arts industry in order to increase their profitability. Tourism impact can
be categorized into three such as economic, social cultural and environmental; they have their
positive and negative impacts which are dependent upon their value and judgment of the nation
(Galdino and et. al., 2018).
Economic impacts on the nation because of the tourism sector. This is the sector which
has a direct and indirect impact on the tourism in England which includes the supply chain. The
place used to contribute Euro 106 billion to the British economy and support 2.6 million jobs that
were observed in the year of 2016 (The value tourism in England, 2021). The sector includes
accommodation, food and drink transportation, travel agencies cultural activities and many more.
The positive impacts on the economy include foreign exchange earnings. This can be because the
people coming from International boundaries resulted in earning more foreign currencies. This
helps in the growth of other sectors suggest transportation food and beverages art and craft and
other small industries which works for the the enhancement of tourist places. This helps the
nation in the contribution of revenue to the government so that we can use it with respect to the
development of the nation. The most important positive impact on Economy is that this sector
helps in generating employment opportunities for the job seekers and also so when entrepreneurs
can also come with innovative ideas in orders to satisfy the needs and wants of their tourists. The
revenue generated from this sector can be used in stimulation of infrastructure investment and
helps in the contribution to the local economy. There are several channels which help in the
development of economy condition with the help of different channels such as employment
creation where this sector helps in developing the employment opportunities that is hotel staff
tourism and Travels operators etc. The sectors help in enhancing the demand and supply of the
goods and services such as attractive and famous products which are present in the local market.
