Two key procedures or duties of central functions
Magic Hand Car Wash Company is a big company which has been operating its business on
huge level so far. As a Car wash company attendant, an individual has two basic and major key
procedures which will be considered as the most important duties in a car wash company so far.
The following will be the key procedures or duties of car attendant as well.
Customer handling (over call & personally) – A car attendant must has a important duty of
managing customers such as taking customers appointments over calls and when the customers
personally visit the drive ways so far. It will be considered as one of the most important duties in
order to receive the appointments because car attendants do have a direct connection with the
customers and they represents the company directly so it will be very important that the
customers would be treated very well (Singh, et. al., 2018).
Car wash & polish – A car attendant has to manage the role which will be considered as directly
related to the satisfaction level of the customers. It will be helpful to understand that customers
would be happy or satisfied with the car wash services the company has been provided as well. It
is important the car attendant must be trained and effectively skilled in order to manage and fulfil
customers’ requirements as well.

The resources which have been used in car washing system, the following will be the measuring
methods for used resources in it.
Telephones –It will be measured with the number of telephones has been used in the workstation
or office to fix the appointment.
Washing chemicals – The quantity (in litres) will be the measuring methods to measure the
chemicals has been using in workstation (Gao, et. al., 2018).
Washing equipments – The numbers of equipments which has been using in a month at
workstation will be its measuring methods.
Water supply – Water supply has a meter which will be considered as its measuring methods.
Energy supply – As like water supply, energy supply also has a meter to measure its usages.
Washing system – The energy supply which has been used for self service wands will be its
measuring methods.
Computing system – The numbers of computer systems along with the number of persons hired
for using the computers are considered as its measuring methods.

 Environmental friendly car cleaning products – It will be the major suggestions from all
the stakeholders to adopt environmental friendly car cleaning products. It will be helpful
to become Magic hand wash a popular 5 star rating company in the country so far.
 Reduce wastage of resources – The resources which has been using at workstations has
been using on high quantity every day so it is very important that the wastage should be
reduced in order to reduce not increasing expenses of the company.
 Purchase energy efficient appliances – In car wash business, all the equipments
including wind wash systems are operate by energy (electricity) so it will be helpful to
the company if company will purchase energy efficient appliances.
 Adopt recyclable process - The water, cleaning chemicals and energy is the main
resources which got wasted on high level so company must need to adopt and run some
recyclable process in the company.
 Waste management training programs – It will be helpful to the company in terms of
reducing the waste management in the workstation, if the appropriate waste management
training programs will be run for staff members to reduce wastage so far (Waste, 2018).

the environmental damage with car cleaning agents so it will be helpful in both ways to not only

Automatic shut off nozzle – It will be considered as one of the most common but effective
solution to save water and reduce the wastage of the water as well. Magic hand car wash is semi
automatic which will be considered as one of the major reason for increasing water waste at the
work station. The company must need to use power washer with an automatic shut off nozzle
which will able to save 70 gallons of water at per car wash (Allen, 2018).

highly expected.

number of human errors must be reduced with running effective training programs at working

Regular feedbacks – It will be one of the helping factors to not only make improvements but
also helps to get effective solutions or recommendations from staff members to increase the
intensity of the existing improving solutions (Qin & Wang, 2018).

A meeting will be going to organised with the team members in order to inform them about the
changes which company wants to run in the company for reducing the resource wastage and
increase sustainability in the company so far. The issues of the workstations/industry such as
resources wastage, higher costs and ineffective management which will helpful to increase the
customer dissatisfaction will be discussed. The impacts of customer dissatisfaction will be
discussed at the meeting with team members. Besides these impacts, changes which will be
helpful in future to increase the sustainability at workstation, will be discussed as well such as
online ordering system, recycling units, Environmental friendly car cleaning products and
automatic shut off nozzle at washing system (Trujillo-Cayado, et. al., 2018). The procurement

Background information
At magic hand Car wash Company, a car attendant has two major duties which are attending
calls, fix appointments and cash washing & polishing so far. The company has been running
some issues such as resources wastage as well. There was no effective resource management has
been running in the company as far which has been increasing resources wastage such as water n
energy supplying system, Telephones, Washing chemicals and Washing system (conveyor tunnel
and self service wands). These are such common problems identified in the car wash industry but
still the company management find some potential to resolve these issues running around (De
Bonis Trapella, et. al., 2018). Few strategies has been identified which will be able to make huge
impacts on the company resources management. The purchasing strategies will be evaluated as
well.
Consultation with stakeholders
The meeting with stakeholders will be helpful to provide some most suitable and appropriate
solutions for issues related to the impactful resources management in the company. The solutions
will be following.
Reduce water and energy supply – The energy and water supply is the biggest resources used in
the company but the due to the lack of effective management, these two are the resources which
have been wasted as well. Purchasing & adopting energy efficient appliances will be helpful to
the company.
Recycle process – Currently the Magic hand car wash Company has been not using any
recycling process for preventing wastage of resources especially water and electricity resources
as well (Gan, et. al., 2018).
Waste management training programs – It will be important solutions from the stakeholders
that improving wastage management in the company, the company must need to run some
training programs to improve the waste management at company.
