Introduction
The assignment below is an Implementation proposal of a Quality and safety plan that aims to
put forward the seriousness of mental and behavioral conditions in Australia affecting both their
personal and professional life. And this creates the need for implementation of quality and safety
improvements to occur and add quality standards to the lives of all. The initiative of McDonald
as corporate social responsibility in delivering staff education programs for improving the
resilience of frontline mental health workers by increasing their efficiency in handling diverse
patients will also be covered in the assignment. The feasibility of the implementation plan will
also be presented in the study to reveal the inclusion of health and well-being to the lives of all.

Need for quality and safety improvement plan to occur
With increasing competition in every sector there has been a substantial increase in the need for
healthy physical, emotional and mental well-being to add value and quality to the lives of
individuals across the globe. As health manager it creates the need for a quality and safety
improvement plan for overall growth and development of individuals as:
-In Australia the most serious health issue is of mental & behavioral health conditions which are
4.8 million people (20.1%) in 2017-18 with hypertension & increased anxiety as the main
factors, affecting both personal and professional aspect of their lives such as decreased work
efficiency, increased domestic tensions and violence, low concentration in works performed etc.
-It is a chronic health issue of Australia as 3.2 million people (13.1%) suffer from anxiety
whereas 10.4% are patients of depression. This not only reflects the need for a strategic
framework to reduce the number of patients suffering from mental and behavioral health
conditions but also draws attention towards its several adverse effects as increased consumption
of alcohol, habit of smoking, increased suicide rates.
-The rise of several diseases due to mental and behavioral conditions creates the need for quality
and safety improvement plan to add quality life standard to the lives of many. The rise of
lifestyle diseases as overweight and obesity not only in adults but also in children draws attention
towards the health and well-being of others (Alkhadhari, et.al. 2018).
Implementation plan
The increased awareness towards the mental and behavioral conditions of the people has also
increased the awareness of business organizations as McDonald which has taken it as its
corporate social responsibility. The initiative of McDonald for improving the resilience of
frontline mental health workers through its staff education programs has assisted to add to the
sustainability and quality standards of the people.
McDonald recognized that anxiety and hypertension has reduced the working efficiency of the
people and so it planned to deliver them training through its staff education programs and for this
it collaborated with public, private and non-government organizations (Abdin, et.al. 2016). For

this data was collected from people through various sampling techniques and face-to-face
interviews from people which revealed that low physical activity. The aim was to deliver better
lifestyle and healthy habits to add quality to the lives of Australian people. The training delivered
to the frontline mental health workers increased the efficiency of the services delivered by them
and to make it easily accessible to the needy and the deprived. This not only delivered a positive
message in the society but also encouraged the people to be conscious of their health habits.
And for this a strategic vision was applied by McDonald in collecting relevant information
regarding demographic and socio-economic elements of the people. And as it was part of its
corporate social responsibility all the stakeholders involved of public, private and non-
government organizations actively participated in its successful initiation. The staff education
program was planned for six months workshop for increased self-awareness, communication and
skills of conflict resolution. This increased their efficiency in handling people suffering from
mental conditions as new and innovative ways were used in their staff education program which
included counseling, knowledge of community and team activities. The values of increased
dedication and commitment towards the services delivered will help them to add quality
standards to the lives of people suffering from mental conditions (Hall, et.al. 2019).
As anxiety and hypertension are chronic illnesses and are inter-related it is essential for its
effects to be treated and recognized. The dimensions of low educational level, lack of social
support and body mass index along with the resident conditions of people were also related to the
mental and behavioral conditions of people and this was taught to the frontline mental health
workers to increase their efficiency in delivering services to the people suffering from mental
and behavioral health conditions.
This increased their capability to identify that hypertensive patients were more vulnerable to
anxiety serving as a threat to their life expectancy and healthy well-being.
Feasibility of plan
In the present era of globalization stress has increased in every sector and profession making the
lives of people automated and hectic. And in this blind race of being ahead of others they

become susceptible to several diseases they are eve not aware of. McDonald has played a
dominant role in identifying the needs of the people and structuring a staff education program for
the frontline mental health workers to add quality and sustainability to the lives of people of all
age.
-It will also make the frontline mental health workers aware of how to handle people who are
suffering from any mental condition and to make efforts to increase their morale and
socialization by inspiring them to participate in several group activities as per their age (Paton,
2019).
-This will increase their ability to handle people along with vision of their socio-economic
conditions thus increasing their understanding towards innovative solutions in managing mental
conditions.
-It will add health and well-being to the lives of people along with enhancement of their
confidence and positive outlook towards life (Wallace, et.al. 2018).
-The initiation of workshops will increase the efficiency of the frontline mental health workers in
handling the diverse mental conditions of people which assisted to reduce the habits of alcohol
consumption and smoking habits of people.
-It will increase their capability to deal patients with increased patience and perseverance to deal
with the mood swings, depression and negative attitudes of people.
In the present digital era health is an asset that needs to be in synergy with all dimensions of
mental, emotional, physical and spiritual elements to add quality standards to the lives of all
people who are suffering from mental and behavioral conditions. In the long run it will increase
the working efficiency of the people along with less issue in their personal and professional life.

Conclusion
The assignment above has delivered a vision of health and well-being in Australia for need for
quality and safety improvement plan where mental and behavioral health conditions of people
serve as a threat to the sustainability and life expectancy of people. The need for the quality and
safety improvement plan, the implementation plan with increased role of McDonald through its
corporate social responsibility has added to the quality and well-being of people. The feasibility
of the implementation plan has reflected the role and relevance of healthy habits and timely
treated mental conditions of people. The assignment has revealed the role of McDonald in
delivering high quality services to the people of Australia that has not only reduced their stress
levels but has also helped to develop a synergy between their personal and professional lives.
