Need for quality and safety improvement plan to occur
With increasing competition in every sector there has been a substantial increase in the need for
healthy physical, emotional and mental well-being to add value and quality to the lives of
individuals across the globe. As health manager it creates the need for a quality and safety
improvement plan for overall growth and development of individuals as:
-In Australia the most serious health issue is of mental & behavioral health conditions which are
4.8 million people (20.1%) in 2017-18 with hypertension & increased anxiety as the main
factors, affecting both personal and professional aspect of their lives such as decreased work
efficiency, increased domestic tensions and violence, low concentration in works performed etc.
-It is a chronic health issue of Australia as 3.2 million people (13.1%) suffer from anxiety
whereas 10.4% are patients of depression. This not only reflects the need for a strategic
framework to reduce the number of patients suffering from mental and behavioral health
conditions but also draws attention towards its several adverse effects as increased consumption
of alcohol, habit of smoking, increased suicide rates.
-The rise of several diseases due to mental and behavioral conditions creates the need for quality
and safety improvement plan to add quality life standard to the lives of many. The rise of
lifestyle diseases as overweight and obesity not only in adults but also in children draws attention
towards the health and well-being of others (Alkhadhari, et.al. 2018).

The increased awareness towards the mental and behavioral conditions of the people has also
increased the awareness of business organizations as McDonald which has taken it as its
