Abstract
The purpose of the research study is to analyze the reason why workers are succumbing to
injuries irrespective of the implementation of safety management system in Singapore. The
research study focuses on the various causes of the accidents in construction worksite over the
past years. In order to understand the cause of the problem, 150 workers from three different
construction worksite are interviewed about the various safety requirements in the construction
worksite and whether these safety requirements are in place or not. The three different
construction worksites are chosen at a random in order to gather genuine data set for the analysis.
The ethical considerations are kept in mind while collecting the data where no workers are
forced to provide their opinions. The regression analysis on the data collected will help in
uncovering the conclusion associated with the identified problem. The research report identifies
the different causes of the injuries in construction workplace. Primary quantitative research is
undertaken in order to uncover the major cause of workers succumbing to problems irrespective
of having a safety management system. Evaluation of the cause of injuries is important in order
to reduce the number of accidents in construction worksites.
