The main aim of this study is to evaluate the roles of managers in implementing change
management processes in the Air Traffic Control System. This study discusses many sections
named as introduction, literature review, research methodology, data analysis and findings,
conclusion, and recommendation. The introduction section leads to increase in the
understanding of the role of manager role in implementing the ATC structure. The literature
review section support to critically evaluate the factors affecting manager for management of
the air traffic control system. This section also critically evaluates managerial acts that are
essential in motivating staff to positive code of conduct at the time of implementing change
management processes. In last, it also discusses aviation incidents and supported to
comprehend different strategies related to the ATC system that can be reduced by change
management. In this, the secondary data collection method is used because this study is
subjective in nature. The collected data is evaluated by entailing 3 different articles. The
conclusion section demonstrates that the manager plays a positive role in implementing
change management in the air traffic control system.

Chapter 1: Introduction
Research Title
The research title of this study is to examine the Roles of Managers in Implementing Change
Management in the Air Traffic Control System
1.1 Research background
ATCS (Air Traffic Control Systems) is an integral section of aviation that affected the overall
aviation industry productivity. This study demonstrates how change management affected Air
Traffic Control Systems. For minimizing incidents of aviation organizations, the organization
can use the change management process tool in their working place, which would be
imperative in getting a positive result (Hayes, 2018). For totally minimizing the number of
risks, the aviation organization has needed to need create an effective system which is
possible by hiring of efficient manager and staff. Consequently, an organization would be
able to direct staff members effectively and meeting its purpose in a meaningful way.
Executives, as well as supervisors of the firm, could aid the organization in completing their
targeted task in an effective manner. The managers and executives were appointed for
coaching and attracting the workforces by their own procedure (Hopkin, 2017). In addition, it
is evaluated that workforce’s supervision could encourage them to effectively complete their
allocated task. Workforces look to its executives not only for conducting direct
communication towards the change but also to examine their change effort level (Mack,
Khare, Krämer, & Burgartz, 2015). The executive, as well as another member, supported to
achieve the goal in an effective way (Holloway, 2017). The primary purpose of this research
is to analyze the productivity of the organization by implementing change management
procedures. It is illustrated that the team of change management could facilitate to engage the
consumers, managers, and executives in the business acts. The change management team

leader could develop customized services to engage employees as well as top managers for
positively reacting to the change management process (Stark, 2015).
It is also examined that the training could be an imperative way to aids the workforces
towards the activity that will be expected by the organization during the change management
process.
It is also examined that executives could make an effective relationship with their
subordinates by highly motivating them. An executive could also inform about the
importance of the change management process and make an emotional connection with the
employee which would also lead to getting a positive result (Doppelt, 2017). In addition, it is
examined that executives are key people of the organization because they design
responsibility of another employee together with providing an effective way to reach a
reliable conclusion. It is illustrated that the managers could also develop a standard time
period for meeting their organizational tasks (Hanson, Melnyk, & Calantone, 2017).
Moreover, it is examined that the coaching of workforces could be significant in playing an
imperative role for the employee to effectively deal with any kind of changes in the
organization. It could also be effective for improving the skills of employees towards change.
It is also examined that an effective executive has face complexity at the time of developing
relations with its subordinates. It is illustrated that management plays an imperative role with
respect to the change management process. Moreover, it is illustrated that effective
implementation of change management could create a trustworthy connection between an
employee as well as top management as it would influence the overall efficiency of the firm
(Dawson, 2019).
This research will be effective in deeply evaluating the role of an executive in
implementation of the change management for improving the security structure of aviation
industry. This study generally deals with the evaluation of role of safety culture as well as HF

for controlling Air traffic for particular area. A study will permit executives of the aviation
industry could check whether recent approaches straggled by them in change management
(Tidd & Bessant, 2018). The study also evaluates recent air traffic measures and examines
what new requirements need to be practiced in recent practices. It also reflects different
approaches that are associated with the improvement of air traffic management. The
upcoming studies perform the study in diverse countries as well as with a large number of
research candidates to obtain a better evaluation of information (Aslam, Ilyas, Imran, &
Rahman, 2016).
1.2 Research aim and objectives
The research aims to find out the problems related to Air Traffic Control faced by managers
and what management techniques and methods can be used to overcome these issues.
To theoretically comprehend the process of change management and ATC system
To discover the role of a manager in implementing the change management process in
the ATC system of an aviation organization
To recommend the change management strategies for declining the incidents of the
ATC system
1.3 Research questions
The following research questions are considered by the researcher to meet the aim of the
study:
What is the process of change management in the ATC system?
What is the role of a manager in implementing the change management process in
the ATC system of an aviation organization?
Which change management strategies are used for declining the incidents of the
ATC system?

1.4 Problem statement
This study is conducted for examining manager role for implementing change management
process in ATC structure. The study's purpose is to highlight issues that are confronted by
executives in practicing the modification in aviation industry and how such issue could be
resolved. Most of modification purposed to ensure passengers safety in the aircraft. It is one
of the most imperative perspectives of aviation industry that could be the primary concern of
the aviation industry. There is a certain expansion which could be entailed by the researcher
to increase safety in the aviation industry. It could also support to make accuracy in the
research outcome.
1.5 Research motivation
This research is effective for comprehending the role of a manager in Air Traffic Control
System at the time implementing the change management. The interest of the researcher
could also mandate the researcher to complete their study on this topic. In the current era, this
concern is being major issue thence this concern has been selected to complete the study.
Further, it is also found that the research information is easily available as it could mandate
dot the investigator to complete their study. This study could be vital for obtaining the depth
information towards the study manner. Moreover, it is examined that the number of flights
increased in upcoming period that could reflect productivity of organization. It is illustrated
that ATC system will be a requirement in the aviation industry in the upcoming period due to
managing the aviation industry effectively (Stead, & Stead, 2017).
1.6 Research hypothesis
H0: The issues concerned with the role of human factors have a greater impact on the
performance of the Air Traffic Control system and managers play a vital role in
mitigating the issue with effective change management.
vii

H1: Safety culture is one of the main reasons for fatal accidents as well as minor
incidents in the Aircraft. The mid-level and higher-level managers are directly
responsible for maintaining the best safety culture.
H2: Change management could be effective for organizations when the management
can take all the internal and external stakeholders together to drive the change in the
organization.
1.7 Research Limitations
With the purpose of completing this study, a scholar will face the different issues that could
be related to the research matter. It would also reflect on the overall research outcome.
Herein, the data evaluation could be imperative constraints that may affect the research result.
In the procedure of this study, less time could negatively reflect the overall outcome of study
(Marchewka, 2016). It could be in terms of making relabel information about research
matters. With the procedure of study, the researcher will be needed to focus on certain factors
named cost, time and lack of resources which can be affected performance of research results.
It is also examined that cost is a major element that might directly influence the performance
of the research result.
1.8 Dissertation Structure
With respect to the meet this study in an appropriate manner, the following structure will be
considered:
1.8.1 Introduction:
This is the first section of the study that considers many sections named as research title,
research motivation, problem statement, research objectives, and research question. It aids to
increase understanding of the research matter. It could also support to make knowledge and a
healthy atmosphere. In addition, this section could also offer depth knowledge towards study
limitations that the investigators confronted to meeting this study. This data of this section is
