1. Introduction
Rationale
Covid 19 has resulted in lowering of career aspects and training opportunities for new job
seekers. Several industries have already faced these issues during the pandemic crisis. Bio
Luminex Health Care Limited has also encountered a similar situation. 81% of the international
workforce, comprising of around 3.3 billion individuals had their work completely or partially
closed down (BBC News, 2020). Approximately 20% of the working population of the UK has
been laid off. Thus, the study will focus on the development of training facilities and new
policies for recruitment to develop and retain the workforce.

Figure 2: Conceptual Framework
(Source: Kulkarni, 2017)
In this framework the connection of the MDT is with various aspects by meeting the objectives.
The communication is the main aspect of the MDT to service better to the people. As per the
views of Kulkarni (2017), the teamwork is also equally important for the MDT for increasing the
productivity of the health sector. Management of the team and the people are equally important
for increasing the services more adequately. However, the interpersonal skills are also important.
These skills are required for interacting with the people at the workplace. This is can be for
individual use or even in groups. Furthermore, it includes balancing of the emotions and act
according to the situation for better reaction. It is also necessary to listen to the other person in
order understand the meaning of what they are delivering. In other words, it a skill which is
included in this. It is useful in making communication effective. Without proper communication
there be difficulties in understanding each other.
Distribution channels and warehouse management is important in the healthcare industry for
administering supply chain as it requires acute safety, precision and dedication. With the help of
Aneffective supply chain management, a health care unit can supply the medical supplements
such as tools, medicines, beds etc. without any delay. Supplier also play a great role in delivering
the products within the specified time limit to avoid any delay. As per the information's from
Bioluminex (2020), the patient-focused approach at Bio Luminex Health Care Limited allows
proper working with the health care clients to create efficient and optimal solutions for better
management of the supply chains and deliver satisfactory outcomes, ranging from order
fulfilment to delivery management to disposition management. Also, it takes feedbacks from the
patients and their attendants who availed their medical treatment so that improvements can be
made. This is possible only through effective communication.
Additionally, the adult social care sector of the UK faces a huge number of challenges, ranging
from spending expenses to Brexit. Apart from these, the most prevalent issue is career shortage.
Social care is neglected adversely, even in the absence of additional challenges. The
contingency theory can be applied in this context. As per the opinion of Kulkarni (2017), this

theory states that there is no perfect way for an organisation to make decisions or lead an
enterprise. However, the recruitment and productivity aspects can be improved through the
betterment of the technological elements, where all the HR professionals would seek for
managing collaborations, communication and productivity effectively even in this uncertain
period of Covid 19. Proper technologies can be integrated to fight with these challenges and
streamline immigration associated services for encouraging clear communications with the
concerned parties. There are numerous ways of communicating with the staff and other people
availing the services of the health care units. HR can use emails, telephonic conversation, letters
etc. to deliver the message. Thus, the HR technology will not only act as an essential role in
prevailing the ongoing recruitment process but also leverage the current alignment and
engagement of the staff, at the time of social distancing. This technology should also include
communication methods which are effective forexchanging the views. Remote hiring can also be
performed in this post-pandemic situation to mitigate the issue of less number of workers.
Doctors who can work and support remotely can be hired for satisfying the working technologies
issue.

Figure 3: Maslow’s hierarchy theory
(Source: Influenced by Jonas (2016)
Maslow’s hierarchy theory is best for human needs, the five tiers pyramid helps to identify the
needs of the employees in the workplace. As viewed by Jonas (2016), for the health sector, this
theory is great for motivating the healthcare staff. Additionally, this theory also helps to set
patient care priorities. On the contrary, physiological needs are the most bias needs of the human,
in the health sector, the working is decreased their energy, although these needs need to be
fulfilled. As assessed by Shih et al. (2019), safety and love belonging are the second need that
every worker needs in the workplace. Thus, esteem and self-actualization are the last two-steps
of the pyramid, and it helps to increase productivity in the workplace

Figure 4: Interaction model of communication
(Source: Influenced by Zhou et al. 2019)
The interaction model of communication is a two-way process of communicating and it is the
best theory for the health sector. As viewed by Zhou et al. (2019), in this theory the sender is
sending a message to the receiver without any noise in the channel of delivering. Additionally,
this is best for communicating with patients or people directly. This is a suitable way of
communicating without any noise or other sound interrupting it. In the environment of a hospital
or health care units, it is of the prime importance that noises or sounds, which can trouble the
patients, should not be made. On the contrary, it is a physical and psychological concept. As
assessed by Zhang (2017), this theory is to help to capture the interactive aspects of the
communication process. Thus, this theory is influenced by social and cultural context.
Literature gap
In this study, the importance and role of communication is evaluated, but there is lack of focus
on the various scopes of technological improvements that are required for enhancing
communication among MDTs. Along with this, there is also certain gaps regarding identification
of various communication styles and strategies for related stakeholders that creates gap in this
study.

3. Methodology
In order to make the research fruitful proper research methodology is followed by the
researchers. There are variety of methods which can be used for conducting research. These
come with different characteristics and uses which should be taken into account while choosing
the most appropriate method for the research. It is categorised into two categories viz. primary
and secondary. Primary research is the one in which fresh data is used. Such data have never
been published before and is absolutely fresh and new which can be used as secondary. On the
other hand, secondary are already available on various sources which can be used by the
researcher. These can be extracted from books, magazines, online, etc. It is not difficult to have
secondary information. In this research the primary quantitative research is done. This is
numerical in nature which is based on the number of people that answered in favour and against
of the question asked to them. Furthermore, it is also easy to read and understand the data as it is
described in numerical form. This may take some time for starting and completing the research
in this way as the researcher has to wait for respondents to answer the question.
The survey is done among the staff of the organisation of bio luminex health care and
limited. People working in Bio Luminex are well aware about the working of the organization.
They know it in and out and can answer the questions better than any other outsiders. The main
focus in on communication among the executives and overall organization. Recently, COVID
virus has spread all over the world and killed huge number of people around the globe. This is a
fatal virus which is still there in many parts of the world. This has put the doctors, nurses etc. to
cope up with the situation in urgency. Communication in such events play a great role. Without
proper communication, it is not possible for the staff to make the situation under control.
Therefore, the questions related to the problems of corona virus are effectively asked to them in
order to collect sufficient information for the research. There are questions staring with the very
basic to the typical one. Quantitative research is easy to understand and even a layman can read
and make sense about it.As per the views of Pypeet al. (2017), the primary qualitative research is
also conducted where the managers of the organisation or bio luminex health care and limited are
interviewed. This gave an insight of the actual problem of mismanagement within the
organization in order to find ways through which situations like that can be combat. Different
views coming from different people helps in designing everything in such a way which is
accepted by majority of the people.

The problems related to the training of the new carers and less number of carers being
present on the place is discussed. With the limiting number of personnel being present at the
workplace who are skilled enough to perform the task are very limited. In order to perform the
operations or handle other medical services, it become imperative to have required knowledge
and training through which desired results can be achieved. Medical treatments and operations
are the tasks which require utmost care and knowledge about the health condition and the
medicines for the same. Also, it develops strong communication among the health workers. In
order to analyse the research data and information the systematic review is done. This is a
method which involveswell designed questions that uses methods for identification, choosing
and critically analysing the information so gathered. It is in the form of review which gives a
clear idea of what the topic is. It is not like any traditional approach. This requires to use the
titles short and simple and any critical words or information is often provided in a simple way.
Apart from this, there is a set pattern which is followed in this such as formulation of review
questions in which questions which need to be reviewed are included. Second point being setting
inclusion and exclusion criteria which is based on choosing the population size, conditions,
outcomes, etc. for the research. At this point, the studies to be chosen is also decided. Third point
is a search strategy is developed in which key terms are decided along with the sources from
which detailed information is gathered. Fourth point being selection of studies in which
researchers or reviewers analyse the data pooling. Fifth stage in extraction of information. There
may be number of sources from which data can be gathered in a raw form which is later
processed and converted into information for better understanding. Apart from this, assessing the
study quality is done in which reviewer make a checklists for knowing that all the steps have
been performed according to the need. Second last step is interpretation of the data so collected
for the readers to read and understand everything without any issues. And the last step is to
disseminate the report. This is most important stage which should be done with utmost care and
all those who need the report should have it. For example, in this case, the staff, managers etc. as
they need to understand the analytics of the communication within the organisation. The
questions are analysed in a proper manner by the formation of an effective team. This team will
perform all the steps and tasks that is required for a successful research. This may include staff
and other personnel working in the organization, apart from this there may be people selected
specially for the purpose of helping with the research. This needs proper meetings and
11

communication without which no research can be successful. The planning is done in a proper
manner along with searching and screening about the problems faced by the bio luminex health
care and limited. The evidence is synthesized and a proper conclusion is drawn. Thus, in this
research both primary as well as the secondary data is utilised to add value to the research. The
authenticated journals and the books prove valuable for the research as it provides useful data to
the researchers in order to make the research more conclusive [ Referred to Appendix].
Research approach: In order to collect and gather optimised information deductive
approach is used as with this formal information is collected in logical format. It is even more
relatable as there is other approach as well which inductive approach that is used to deliver is and
process factual information and data as by merging all the possible information. In order to
process this research, researcher make supportive usage of deductive approach that aid to
analyse all the sustained data with better analysis and in logical format as well.
Research strategy: It is a strategy that is used by researcher in order to collect, plan,
gather and analyse appropriate information in systematic manner. For this adequate guidance is
provided and with this sustained tools and techniques are used which is related to interview,
quantitative survey, qualitative and action oriented strategies. In order to process research survey
strategy is used that facilitate the effectiveness and efficiency of data collection.
Sampling- This tend to be a statistical process which is utilised under current
investigation for selection of viable sample size of a larger number of population. Through the
use of random sampling method, a sample size of 50 participants had been selected from the
employees which is justifiable for collection of primary data in most unbiased manner as it offer
an equal chance of selection for all participants. Use of following questionnaire is made for
current investigation to collect primary set of data.

As per the views of Pillay et al. (2016), in order to conduct the research in a successful
manner proper researching technique are used to gather effective data that is very much relevant
to the research. Proper ethical considerations are followed in order to make the research more
effective. The participants of the research are not subjected to any kind of harm whatsoever and
the proper prioritization is made for the participants of the research. The privacy of the research
participants is also maintained along with the maintenance of proper level of confidentiality of
the respective research data so that research value can be maximised. The proper honesty is also
maintained in the research process to make the research more effective. No unethical things are
done in order to derive information that might prove useful for the research and misleading

Research Design
Descriptive design is best for this study as this is the best way of providing insight and it
describes the function and characteristics. As viewed by Rahman and Haffari (2020), descriptive
research is filled to understand the research initials. Additionally, exploratory research is helping
to investigate more clearly. On the contrary, it also helps to discover new ideas of
communication. As assessed by Çokluk and Koçak (2016), descriptive research is to describe the
function and the characteristic. Thus, this design willgenerate accurate results for the study.
