causality. The research approach that is selected for conducting investigation is inductive
because it is based on qualitative method and information is collected in detailed manner.

Research methodology refers to specific techniques or processes which are used to
determine, select, process and also analyse information regarding topic. This section of research
provides effective guidelines for investigator to finish research with in given period of time. It is
helpful in evaluate overall reliability as well as validity. Mainly, it is uses to gather data or
information for purpose of making business decisions in better manner (Kaur and et. al., 2014). It
consists interviews, publication research, survey, interviews and some of the other techniques to
include present as well as historical information.
Type of Investigation
These are processes, techniques or strategies which use in data collection or an evidence
for analyse new information or develop better understanding regarding topic. There are two
different kinds of research methods qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data is measured
in terms of quality or theoretical basis. This method is helpful in support in- depth understanding
of situation. It consists less sample of participants so that there will not be any issue faced by
researcher at the time of conducting investigation. As comparison to quantitative method, it is
time- consuming. Mainly, qualitative research is used for gain understanding of the underlying
opinions, reasons etc. On the other hand, quantitative method consist numerical analysis. It is
based on the data that can be measured in terms of numbers. It is systematic investigation of the
observable phenomena through mathematical, computational and statistical techniques. Among
both methods, researcher will use qualitative method because it is helpful in provide the
theoretical description of specific area in detailed manner.
Research Approach
It is procedure or plan that consists steps in wider assumption in method of data
gathering, analysis and also interpretation. It is helpful in addressing specific issue of research
area. There are two different kinds of research approaches such as inductive and deductive. In
inductive research approach, new theories are developed by creation of the hypothesis. It is based
on qualitative research method and can use research questions to narrow scope of study. On the
other hand, deductive research approach is based on quantitative method and it is based on the
causality. The research approach that is selected for conducting investigation is inductive

Research techniques
It is process that used to gather data or information for purpose of making effective
business related decisions. There are different kinds of research techniques for an instance
questionnaire, modelling, case studies, interviewers etc. It is necessary for an investigator to
choosing correct research related technique. With the help of using better research technique,
researcher can gather relevant and reliable information relation to specific research area. In order
to conducting this investigation, researcher will use questionnaire on which different questions
related to specific subject area are mentioned in proper manner (Nagaike, 2015).
Research philosophy
It is explained as belief about way under data about phenomenon should be collected,
analysed and then used. It is necessary for an investigator to choose better philosophy for support
study in to the consideration. There are two different kinds of research philosophy positivism and
interpretivism. In context to positivism, it is effective for research work where mathematical as
well as scientific methods are used form gathering information in an effective manner. In context
to interpretivism philosophy, investigator tends to adopt the qualitative means for accumulate
data and also conduct data analysis. This research is based on interpretivism philosophy because
it provides information in detailed manner regarding specific research area.
Research Design
It refers to an arrangement of collections or situations. It is proper set of process and
method that used in gathering as well as analysing measures of variable which can specified the
research problem. Research design is pre- planned sketch for defining issue. It specified research
objectives, data gathering and analysis of methods, responsibilities, actions, cost, time etc. It is
helpful in search answers of different research related questions. There are three different kinds
of research design descriptive, experimental and exploratory. Experimental research design
consists scientific analysis in order to developing the certain theory. Descriptive design presents
explanation of specific research area. Exploratory research design is mainly used to enhance the
familiarity of analyst with issue in research. It search insights as well as ideas for generate the
possible explanations. This present research is based on descriptive research design because it is
related with explaining problems with satisfactory solutions. It is purposive and specific in
nature.

Data collection
It is process of collecting information or data through different ways or sources in a
proper manner. The main aim of data collection is to capture the quality data or information that
can easily help in data analysis. There are two different kinds of data collection methods such as
Primary and Secondary. In Primary method, information is collect for first time and sources to
collect information are surveys, interviews, questionnaire, observation etc. On the other hand, in
secondary method, information is already collected and its sources are books, journals etc.
The difficulties are faced through researcher is related to gather relevant or accurate
information about specific research topic or globalisation (Rudlin, 2014).
Data sampling
It is statistical analysis technique that used to choose, manipulate and also analysis
representative data subset to identify the patterns and also trends in large data set. It enables
predictive modellers, data scientistic and some of the other data analysis to work with
manageable data. For selecting respondents, investigator uses random data sampling method. It
is subset of people which are select from larger set and helpful in collecting data from larger
population. There are 40 respondents selected through researcher and these are employees. The
targeted group is employees of Marks & Spencer and they have the proper understanding about
the globalisation and can able to give the in-depth knowledge related to globalisation.
Analytical technique
It is a method to analyse arisen issues or facts. Generally, analytical techniques are task-
limited as well as time- limited. It is journal dedicated to developing analysis and data related to
questions for understanding effective analytical technique. In this research, qualitative method
has been used because it provides the theoretical information related to specific area. An
inductive research approach has been used because it analyse the opinions and thoughts of
different respondents. There has been descriptive research design use because it provides
detailed information regarding the particular area in an effective manner. The questionnaire has
been developed through using the primary research method. In order to analyse specific issue or
collected information, researcher will use the thematic analysis technique. The collected data is
authenticated and it will help Marks & Spencer in getting positive outcomes in an effective way.
