DIKW research
The current DIKW is based on the analysing the role of Angela’s work in passing the
CRAAP test. Further, the main objective of current study is to evaluate about the concept of Grit
score along with its importance in improving the overall academic level of students.
Effectiveness of DIKW:

Use of DIKW research supports effective collection of data along with ensuring its proper
interpretation and analysis to gain information. After that, DIKW model also supports creation of
knowledge based on collected data and information and finally wisdom in form of creation of
new idea and decision making is led by DIKW research (Rubach and Lazarides, R., 2021).
Academic Grit
My current grit score is 4 that is reflecting satisfaction level of passion and conscientious
towards by study and long term goals. Based on my grit score my main objectives are listed as
below:
Smart Objectives
 To develop improved level of Confidence and conscientiousness in next 6 months
 To have higher motivation and passion towards improvement in academic level within
coming 4 months.

Data collection
Various method is available for collection of data which comprises of quantitative and
qualitative method from which use of quantitative method of data collection has been made
within current study as it supports easy collection of raw facts in numeric form that is easy to
present and analysis (Lotriet and Twinomurinzi, 2021). Along with this, use of survey strategy
has supported collection of information from a wider number of respondents through making use
of questionnaire that is mailed to participants for collection of information. Further, use of both
primary as well as secondary source of data collection has been made as primary supported
collection of first-hand information while secondary provide support through help of exiting
information. The difference between primary and secondary data comprises of the fact that
primary data is first hand data that is directly collected by participants whereas secondary data
comprises of pre-existing and historical facts present in form of literature and old records (Cori
and Fraticelli, 2021).

Collection of Primary data would be made with the help of below stated questionnaire.
this, Questionnaire has been mailed to 20 participates among the students circulate to classmate
through web link. The current questionnaire is based on the topic of role of Grit (Angela’s work)
in improving the academic skill of student along with passing the CRAAP test.

It has been analysed that Good information is essential and important for all business to
have effective operation and decision making at all levels in businesses. Further, information
also identifies and illustrates the different kinds of information by the complex internal and
external communication links of a typical R&D department.
With respect to current DIKW research on the topic of importance of Grit in improving
academic level, Information is interpreted and generated from raw data with the help of thematic
approach which is provided as below:

Interpretation
On the basis of current raw data, information has been gathered that from a total of 20
respondents, 18 were having the understanding and information about Angela’s work and its
impact on passing CRAAP test while the 2 were unaware of it. An information has been derived
that Angela’s work that reflects about the importance of grit is a vital academic concept to
improve the overall academic level.

Interpretation
It has been analysed that no one is having 1 as their grit score while only 1 participant
have 2 as grit score along with the 12 number of respondents who tend to have 3 as their average
grit score. Along with this, further information is derived that 6 participants were there who have
4 as their average grit score whereas remaining one participant tend to have 5 grit score which
reflects maximum level of passion and confidence.

Interpretation
With respect to above collected data, an information is taken out that no participant was
having 1 as its academic qualification level while 1 participant was having 2 as its academic
qualification level. Further, it has been also find out that 11 respondents were having 4 as their
higher academic qualification level while 5 were having 4 as their academic quantification along
with this, 3 other participants were also there who have maximum 5 as their academic
qualification level.

Vital information is derived from the above collected data which reflects that a vital role
is played by grit in improving and enhancing the academic level and overall passing of the
CRAAP test as 4 participants had supported that fact the it Supports higher level of passion while
3 favoured motivations towards achievement of goal. Along with this, it has been also find out
that 6 participants were having a view point that Higher academic conscientiousness reflects the
vital role of grit in improving and enhancing the academic level and overall passing of the
CRAAP test whereas other 7 participants had favoured improve confidence and creativity level.

Creation of Knowledge based on comparison of data
On the basis of secondary information analysed that is provided by the research and work
of Angela Duckworth (Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance) it has been analysed and
observed that grit is smoothing that reflects the ability of an individuals to stick with the things
for a longer period time with full passion until they become master in them (Morrison, Ciarán
and Thomas, 2021). Further, it has been also analysed that the grit comprises of a combination of
passion and perseverance that is important and vital to achieve the set goals and targets. Along
with this, it has been also analysed and evaluated based on the information provided by Babić,
A., 2021, that implication of Grit is important and vital to effective pass the CRAAP test as it
acts as a driver of achievement and success that is independent of talent and intelligence. It has
been also find out based on secondary analysis that a vital role is being played by Grit in passing
the CRAAP test as without grit and ability of persevere, talent of individuals is nothing but it is
the grit that convert talent into skill and improved confidence to effectively pass the CRAAP test
(Greenhow, Lewin and Staudt Willet, 2021).
Comparative Analysis

On contrary, the secondary information is based on past facts that reflects about the role
of grit in improving the academic qualification in a theoretical manner. It has been analysed on
the basis of secondary information that grit enhance the ability of an individuals and leads to
higher passion and confidence for better achievement of set goals of having improved academic
qualification level and effectively passing the CRAAP test (Oh and Kang, 2021).

Wisdom
On the basis of current research, a decision can be made that grit plays a vital role in
supporting the improved academic qualification level in students by the way of enhancing their
passion and confidence for achievement of long term goals. Further, a contextual idea about the
fact that talent is waste without grit as only higher level of conscientiousness and resilience
supports improved skill and passion to achieve set goals and have higher academic performance
level.

Further, a summarisation can also be made grit is a personal trail that reflects the ability to
remain motivated towards long term goal through improved resilience and Conscientiousness.
