INTRODUCTION
Argumentative assessments is valid combination of claims and premises which is a part
of high-quality teaching and learning, for academic progression among students. It is beneficial
for students, because these assessments are framed with the focus on students learning to
improve their skills and knowledge as they are highly related to their education.
Present report will highlight the importance of group work skills which are helpful for
students to attain. Furthermore, study will give explanation for the aspects of group work skills
which can be applied by a student in their learnings within career. In the end report will shed
light on an opposing argument against the skills of group work, analysing new arenas and new
learning aspects.
Importance of skills helpful for group work
Group work is essential term which benefits the cooperative learnings as it aims to
reinforce skills and are developing from trust, tolerance and self-awareness of an individual to
contribute in learnings (Ghavifekr, 2020). Properly structured group projects refine
understandings with the help if discussion and explanation. Group work is importance because it
develops several skills which helps an individual to strengthen the learning abilities.
Communication skill is a key foundation of effective teamwork as it enables to share and talk
openly with other group members. By learning strong communication skills individual learn to
express better and learn new skills with other team-members. Well established communication
skills lead to positive environment which helps students to grow effectively and efficiently.
Strong communication ease to resolve conflicts and also improves productivity as it gives
clarity.
Leadership Skills helps students to learn art of building relationships within team, as it
demonstrates strong teamwork as it enhances decisiveness among students. This skill helps in
team development by strategic thinking and bring innovation in individual. Students learn this
skill from self-development, which leads in future towards good team management abilities.
Collaboration skills also known as collaborative skills which enables the students to
achieve common goals (Alzrayer and Banda, 2017). This skill-set improves capacity of an

Problem-solving Skills deeper understanding of the cause and effect for students.. When
challenges arise outside the box, problem-solving skill helps to resolve these issue and come out
of the situation (Khan and et.al., 2017). It is necessary for students learn the skill of problem-
solving to uncover the roadblocks which inhibiting team's success. This skill helps to improve
the inefficiencies in the team by analysing the process.
Conflict management Skills is another important skills which enables students to work in
a group helps the students to learn different methods in which are they are newly experienced.
Group works create compassion towards work as others team members also contributes their
efforts positively even in the case of conflicts. Watch other members to resolving these conflicts
helps students to work on their weaker areas.
Aspects of skills helpful for group work
As per the views of Taosi, Kijkuakul and Maliwan, (2020), students can apply the skills
of group work to enhance the capabilities of future learnings in more effective and efficient way.
Group works provide encouragement and supporting other members which ensure each and
every student's learning. Each group member contributes in the discussion which improves the
weaker area of an individual as it consistently update the knowledge and skills Group work
helps students to be more upgraded as information they get in group work comes from different

Communication is the first-most skill which add value in the group work as this element
comes because communication is key and allow students to share their ideas and different views.
Activities of group work in which every student actively participates fulfils the communication

students to be aware of each and every detail which is essential, it leads to appropriate outcomes.
Delegation is another important aspect of group work as all the skills which are involved in
collaborative working helps students to identify the tasks from different perspectives. As group

at one place towards the common goal in the group work. It brings new ideas to the team as
group members work with a collaboration to resolve issues with different ideas Any concern

helps to learn more. Support in a shared goal plays important roles as this aspect impacts on the
success of entire team. While facing particularly difficult change students gives support to each
other which helps in the development and improve learnings of every individual. Here, this
aspect improves trust on group members and improve performance with the team support. With
the help of support which brings empathy, allows teammates to understand better.
Student learns time management in the group by working together as each individual
have time bond to completing the task. Resolution of conflicts take different time by every
individual but group work helps to resolve issues in lesser time as solution comes from different
heads. It brings efficiency in attempting task by the students as an outcome.
Argument
Group work sometimes, is a concern of causing disagreements might occur while
communication with other team-members because. Because of difference in reviews from
teammates and create conflicts among team member’s Ineffective communications arise clashes
in team and make negative conditions to work with team members.
It requires more time taking and complex tasks such as breaking steps and part for the
team members and planning to manage these tasks. Team members may require different times
and resources to complete the same task. Organising the work and setting planning may also
time consuming which hinders the overall growth of the student. It could be time taking process
to resolve issues in team, which may cause by having different views and sometime it might lead
to huge disputes while working together in team. It is impossible that every student agrees with
conditions, some may be pointing other aspects which causes situation of disagreements in team-
members. Bring out the solution where everybody agrees is difficult to figure out and waste a lot
of time as decision-making take time.
As per the views of Dari, Chan and Del Re, (2021), Students may face inequalities in
getting work as it is hard to focus every individual during activities, many students may lack
their interest due to this. Lack their interest may loss the creativity of individual and students to
may not put effort with same enthusiastic way in group work because of the fear of getting

avoided. It may lead to chaos which may prevent others from sharing ideas because not every
student feel comfortable working with other teammates. Quite or introvert student find
difficulties to share their perspective and ideas. Their hesitance might cause barrier in the growth
with same speed in compare to other team-members and create unequal participation. There is
list of other skills which also enhance group works such as Time-management skills and Critical
thinking skills. Group work for students contains positive aspect of time-management. This skill
of managing time through planning is extremely important part to learn and practise by every
student, in academics. Students must be creative in regard to manage the time so that they can
create abilities in their behaviour of utilizing the time.
Students can create critical thinking skills in the activities of such group work as the
collaborative learnings faster the developments through discussion. It helps to give clarification
of ideas and evaluate them. It is best way of effectively gain the factual knowledge. Students
actively think to resolve different activities in the task and learn from other team members their
ways to deal with issues. Students gain knowledge from others and expands their limits of skills
which makes them critical-thinker by developing new skills from other participants.
CONCLUSION
Above report has concluded that group work skills is a very essential part of student's
growth and development. This study summarized that group work is an activity to break
complex tasks into small parts and steps which enhance learning, helps to plan and manage time
and refine understands for better learning of the students. Further, the report explained that
group work strengthens the learning abilities of the individual which needs to develop strong as
these skills are also helpful for group work, such as Communication, leadership, conflict
management and collaboration skills.
RECOMMODATION
To encourage group work skills professors can conduct various such as brain-storming
sessions in which student learn to set time limit and promote discussions and ideas (Ghavifekr,
2020). Also, for student’s professors can plan web seminars which benefits students by allowing
better interactions and contributes in new learning.
These group sessions help in fast growth of the student's skills and learning
through various activities in these methods.
