Itfocuses on improvement of the courier services in the organisation and for the educationalpurposes. This article also analyse the useful case study to improve the services of the couriercompany. Importance of ICTThere are cases where the use of ICT on electronic delivery of courier services, such aspackages and letters were done much faster than the postal services (Nyaga, 2017). Today theworld of business has changed completely, with the introduction of the computers. Businessesuse ICT in different departments that include finance, human resources, security andmanufacturing to run it smoothly (Mohammed & Sadiq, 2015). Today companies can view thechanges that occur in the global markets which is much faster than it is used to be. The businessoperation purchase some software and hardware packages to run their business. With the usageof ICT, businesses can keep up to date with their supply and demand as the customer wantsthere items instantly, and the use of ICT efficiently does this. With just a click the consumer cantrack there order details, the employees in the courier company get every information related tothe order that has to deliver. In the modern world the education world is also growing continuously. Students are the inventors,leaders, businessman of tomorrow. ICT is the key for the students of modern generation as itoffers classes online that is accessible anywhere on mobile phones, tablets, laptops or computers(Pani, Srimannarayana & Premarajan, 2015). Students can now quickly login or even submit theirassignments while they are busy doing other stuff.ImpactIt improves efficiency, transparency, accountability and reduces bribery. ICT enable servicedeliver to customer through online payment mode using mobile device or any other gadgets.Value of ICT to the organisationThe more the value of ICT in the organisation the more they utilise it for better service delivery. Ina case study, it was found that average value of VAIC is 4.60 that was similar to the value indexof ICT in the service industry of Nigeria (Bukie, 2017). These indicate that the potentials of ICTwere not efficiently utilized for the delivery of service in Nigeria.
