Review the case “Making the Problem Worse” on pages 147-150.
• Using PowerPoint Presentations with recorded audio, or Video Presentations create 2 presentations to communicate change processes to (a) managers, and (b) staff at Springfield General Hospital. Remember that these are two very different audiences so the presentations must be tailored to their needs.
• Presentations should be 3-5 minutes in length.
Write the script for both oral presentations.
• Address the need for change by giving an overview of the problem (1-2 PPT slides).
• Using audience-appropriate explanations, present the steps planned change process (2-3 slides).
• Include an explanation of the teams involved in the change process.
• Using audience-appropriate explanations, present a sequenced implementation of new technology to solve the problem.
• Demonstrate the use of techniques for mutual engagement to foster a commitment to change.
• Incorporate an opportunity for each audience to ask questions
