Introduction
The following paper attempts a review of a research article that focusses on the effect of
the post-colonialism and the oppression on the indigenous worldview and the indigenous
population. The paper opens with an overview of the chosen research study. The paper thereafter
proceeds to put forth a discussion on the information, data and methods that are presented by the
authors of the article. the paper thereafter sheds light on the organization and presentation of the
paper which is followed by the discussion on the findings and the conclusion of the chosen
research paper.
Overview
Hojjati et al. (2018) in the article entitled “Educational content related to postcolonialism
and indigenous health inequities recommended for all rehabilitation students in Canada: a
qualitative study” discusses the educational content that is related to the post colonialism as well
as the indigenous health issues that are present within the Canadian territories. This in turn would
help the concerned students to gain knowledge on the ways that would help in the overall
development of the health equity that is maintained within the concerned territorial boundaries of
Canada. The article highlights the sociological perspectives as have been highlighted within the
given territorial boundaries of Canada. The article in discussion tends to demonstrate the
qualitative study in the fields of the postcolonialism and the health issues present within the
territorial boundaries of Canada. The collected data was segregated and analyzed on the basis of
the structured six-phase methods. The article in discussion helps in the overall development of

supports the principle argument that have been presented by the authors of the article in
discussion.
Findings and Conclusion
The major findings of the authors reveal the fact that the rehabilitation professional
students should have a proper knowledge base on postcolonialism and the related health factors.
The article further argues that these should be included into the educational programs that have
been highlighted within the given organization as well. The article argues on the fact that these
practices would help the concerned students to put forth a proper improvement in the care for the

rehabilitation patents which in turn would help in the improvement of the results that are
observed in case of the various indigenous patients as well. The author argues that the major
reason behind the disparities among the care towards the patients is based on the matters that are
related to the relationship that is maintained by the non-indigenous and the indigenous members
who have been residing within the Canadian territories. The article further reveals that there have
been certain limitations of the research that had been conducted for the composition of the given
article. The findings of the article cannot be generalized. This is due to the fact that the results of
the article are not transferable to the other fields. The huge diversity among the authors led to the
lack of the proper understanding regarding the worldview of the authors thereby leading to a
greater diversity among the observations as well. The other major limitation of the study referred
to the lack of the greater amount of participation from the indigenous communities within the
area which led to the lack in the deepening of the analysis.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it might be stated that the article in discussion helped in the proper
understanding of the indigenous worldview in the fields of healthcare. The article also helped the
suture researchers to have a proper understanding of the issues in terms of the indigenous
cultures and the effect of colonialism on the various indigenous cultures that have been
highlighted within the given organization as well. The article helped the future researchers as
well as the students to gain knowledge on the ways that would help in the overall development of
the health equity that is maintained within the concerned territorial boundaries of Canada. The
article further helped in the understanding of the effects of the post-colonialism and the trauma
that is experienced by the indigenous people due to the colonialism that they had faced at the
hands of the French and the British.
