Introduction
The following paper attempts a review of a research article that focusses on the effect of
the post-colonialism and the oppression on the indigenous worldview and the indigenous
population. The paper opens with an overview of the chosen research study. The paper thereafter
proceeds to put forth a discussion on the information, data and methods that are presented by the
authors of the article. the paper thereafter sheds light on the organization and presentation of the
paper which is followed by the discussion on the findings and the conclusion of the chosen
research paper.
Overview
Hojjati et al. (2018) in the article entitled “Educational content related to postcolonialism
and indigenous health inequities recommended for all rehabilitation students in Canada: a
qualitative study” discusses the educational content that is related to the post colonialism as well
as the indigenous health issues that are present within the Canadian territories. This in turn would
help the concerned students to gain knowledge on the ways that would help in the overall
development of the health equity that is maintained within the concerned territorial boundaries of
Canada. The article highlights the sociological perspectives as have been highlighted within the
given territorial boundaries of Canada. The article in discussion tends to demonstrate the
qualitative study in the fields of the postcolonialism and the health issues present within the
territorial boundaries of Canada. The collected data was segregated and analyzed on the basis of
the structured six-phase methods. The article in discussion helps in the overall development of
the issues that are highlighted due to the trauma that is faced by the residents of the area due to
the colonization of the country by the French and the British. The article further highlights the
issues that are demonstrated by the people in terms of the rehabilitation of the various indigenous

The article reviews the existent literature on the given topic and thereafter builds on the areas of
future researches.
Information, Data and Methods
The article in discussion implements the qualitative study for the completion of the given
study. The authors of the article have demonstrated the interpretivist study modes in order to
develop a proper understanding of the issues that are related to the health conditions of the
indigenous people and the effect of the post-colonialism on the given indigenous population. The
article was majorly based on the semi-structured interviews that were conducted by the
concerned authors. The authors of the study had collected the data form the overall interviews
that were conducted. The authors aimed at the conduction of the interviews using the virtual
communication tools like Skype and other such tools. The research questions that were
implemented by the authors are observed to be collaborative in nature and had followed the six
phases of the DEPICT method. The authors of the article have implemented the statistical tools
within the given article in order to put forth a proper analysis of the data that is collected through
the interviews that were conducted on the participants of the survey. The collected data has been
analyzed with the help of the information that are provided by the concerned participants. The
data has been explained with the help of the graphical representations that are highlighted within
the participating members of the survey. The authors are observed to have been implementing
the analytical style of expression in order to explain the data collected through the interviews that
were conducted by the authors.
