INTRODUCTION
Skills are necessary for individual performing job role as it helps in enhancing and
developing the required set of skills to perform the work effectively and efficiently (Busso and
et.al., 2017). There are various type of skills which individual required to learn and develop
depending upon their job role. Skills are important as it helps in providing wide range of
opportunities and develops confidence which is essential to get success in life. This report is
based on the individual coursework regarding skills audit and the steps taken to improve and
enhance the skills.
TASK 1
Skills audit is define as the process which is been used by the individuals working in the
organisation to identify the gaps which are effecting their performance (Mehrabani and
Mohamad, 2015). It is important for the individual and the organisation as it helps in
accomplishing the goals and objectives on time. Skill audit is basically the two side of a coin
where focus is on what the person has and in which area they need to focus in order to make
changes and improve.
Here, a set of skills which are been judged by the person and other people on the scale of 1 to 5
where 1 stands for very poor, 2 stands for poor, 3 stands for average, 4 stands for good and 5
stands for excellent.

TASK 1
Skills audit is define as the process which is been used by the individuals working in the
organisation to identify the gaps which are effecting their performance (Mehrabani and
Mohamad, 2015). It is important for the individual and the organisation as it helps in
accomplishing the goals and objectives on time. Skill audit is basically the two side of a coin
where focus is on what the person has and in which area they need to focus in order to make
changes and improve.
Here, a set of skills which are been judged by the person and other people on the scale of 1 to 5
where 1 stands for very poor, 2 stands for poor, 3 stands for average, 4 stands for good and 5
stands for excellent.

Strengths
Coordination skills play important role while working in team as with the help of
effective coordination with other team members they would be able to complete the
assigned work on time effectively and efficiently. In context of study course(hospitality)
this skill is helping when two or more individuals are working on one particular task.
Problems solving skills is quite effective as it is helpful in the situation when uncertain
issues and problems take place at the work-place. In context of the study
course(hospitality) problems are quite common as every customer have different needs
and preferences. Hence the problem solving skills helps in providing on spot solution to
the issues.
Listening skills play important role as effective listening lead to better implementation of
task and the changes of mistake are less. In context of study course(hospitality) listening
skills helps in better learning and understanding where changes of mistake and conflicts
are less (Carvalho, 2016).
Weaknesses
Communication- The effective communication skills helps in driving better results as it
helps in understanding the thinks in better way. In context of the study course(hospitality)
the good communication helps in gaining the theoretical knowledge which is essential to
perform the practical job role. The individual need to work on their communication skills
in order to make its performance better and effective.
Team work- The team work is important as it helps in performing the work in the most
effective and efficient manner which need to be improve by the individual. In context of
the study course(hospitality) team work helps in managing the work as in hospitality
sector many of the task are perform with the help and support of other.
Time Management- It is one of the most crucial factor as by performing the task within
the define time limit helps in providing the desire results and no deal take place. In
context of the study course(hospitality) time management is very important as they
provide wide range of services to it's potential customers where delay has negative

TASK 2
SMART objectives
The smart objective is the plan which is used to attained the success from the desired
future objective. The smart objective must be created with the using techniques like specific,
measurable, achievable, relevant and time-oriented. If all these points are covered in the pre-
defined objective then the objective is called the smart objective. And it can be said that after
implementing the plan of the smart objective it is easy to achieve the future goal and objective.
While making the smart objective some points are needed to be consider and they are; using
specific and clear wording, include the goal which can be measurable and achievable in the
future, aim of the goal must be specific and realistic, goal must be relevant to the business and
must be inter related with the professional career. And the goal must be time bounded so that the
goal can be achieved on time and measurable and can be compare by the others or own previous
goals (Pan and Seow, 2016).
`For accomplishing the smart objective it is important to complete the swot analysis of
the individual. Which is already done and on the basis of swot analysis It is cleared that the skills
which is strength are teamwork and leadership quality whereas the time management is the skill
which is needed to be improved in the smart objective. The smart objectives are:
To improve communication skills by attending sessions and online classes within 4
months.
To enhance time management skills by learning about various techniques of time
management and applying it continuously.
To improve leadership skills by effective participation and learning leadership styles
within 3 months.
In order to achieve these objective the time management is very important as these skills
are needed to make the perfect time management and to those there are different time
management techniques are used to improve the importance of the time management skills
(Larraz, Vázquez and Liesa, 2017). Time management is the skills which is actually very
important and there are various reasons to manage the time in order to developed the skills on the
basis of personal aspects. Time is limited; so it is important to manage your work according to
the time as there are only 24hours a day. A person can accomplish more by making the time
management; to improve the skills and development in yourself it is important to manage the
