INTRODUCTION
Technology can be defined as the accumulation and use of different types of processes,
tools, techniques, methods, skills which are used either in the process of production or any other
type of business which includes the use of machines (Ali, Khan and Vasilakos, 2015). The use of
technology has led to simplification of even the toughest work. That is why the popularity of the
use and application of technology has increased. The present essay will discuss about the impact
of the cloud computing on the business. It will also discuss about the different types of cloud
systems along with there suitability to the current business. At last the report will outline the
difference between privacy and security along with importance of using the cloud computing in
the business.
MAIN BODY
With the help of globalization there has been a great shift in the technological sector. The
development in the technological sector has increased the efficiency of the work and has
improved the growth of the company. The technology has improved the productivity of all the
different types of industries across the world. In the modern days the machines carry on the
major work in every business whether be it a factory, a manufacturing concern, agricultural
sector and many other fields. Also the use of technology saves the time of the user as if there is
any problem it can be easily solved with the help of the technology. There has been a great shift
of industries from doing manual work to the use of machines, tools and equipment. There has
been many development in the technological sector like use of artificial intelligence, cloud
computing and many other techniques.
Cloud computing
In simple words, the cloud computing can be referred to as the storing and accessing the
data and different types of information and programs over the internet instead of storing those
data and information on the hard drive or the storage in the computer (Almorsy, Grundy and
Müller, 2016). It may also be defined as the type of computing which is based on shared
computing resources and not based on having the personal devices or the local servers to handle
all the applications and the data. All the data, information and applications are stored and
accessed with the help of the web or the internet. Some examples of cloud computing are like

Google Drive - it is a cloud computing service which include cloud apps like Google
sheets, Google Docs, Google maps, Google calender and many other applications wherein data
can be stored (Sadiku, Musa and Momoh, 2014).
Apple iCloud - this is the cloud service provided by Apple which is used for the online
storing and synchronization of all the information like contacts, images, mail etc. on the online
source
Cloud storage
The cloud storage is a type of system or model wherein the data and information is
maintained and stored, managed, backed up and is readily made available to all the users of the
information and the data over the internet. It may also be defined as the collection or the
accumulation of the different computer hardware and software which works together in order to
provide many different aspects of computing in the form of online storage services. It involves
storing data on the hardware of the computers in remote physical locations which in future can
be accessed from any device by the use of internet. Also the cloud system uses some authentic
and secure processes to store the data like and also uses passwords and user names in order to
prevent the leakage of the data of one person to the another person.
Different types of cloud
The cloud computing can be divided into many different types of clouds depending on
the physical location of the computing resources. The different types of clouds are discussed in
the following points-
Public cloud- this type of cloud is more suitable for the unstructured type of data. Here
the information and the data are stored in the global data centers. These services are provided to
anyone in the general public. Here the consumers or the users of this type of cloud needs ot pay
son basis of per use of the cloud computing system.
Private cloud- this system provides cloud services exclusively for a particular
organization. This is because of the reason that the organization wishes to keep the information
and data private and secure from the unauthentic use of the data by others (Oliveira, Thomas and
Espadanal, 2014). For keeping the data secure the private computing provides two options
Use of hosted private cloud services. Set up their own data centers

Hybrid cloud- this type of system is the combination of both the public and the private
type of cloud computing (Toosi, Calheiros and Buyya, 2014). This type of computing offers
more data deployment options and more flexibility to the business. It also provides the users of
the services to have more control and more customization over their data.
Suitability to current business
From the study of the above topics it is evident that the cloud computing is very
necessary and crucial because it brings many benefits to the company using the computing. The
use of cloud computing brings in many advantages for the company such as easy deployment of
data, automatic upgrades and updates on the stored data, cost advantage, flexibility and
scalability and many other benefits (Chang, Kuo and Ramachandran, 2016). Also now- a- days
mobile applications can utilize the cloud environment along with productivity applications such
as blogging tools, word processor, e- learning and many other mobile applications are better with
the use of cloud computing.
Difference between privacy and security
Privacy Security
This is a part of security which allows access
to the system by which all the files are refined
before it allows the user to access them.
This may be defined as the protection the
unauthorized use or access of the data.
This specifies that which files can be used or
accessed by a particular user.
On the other hand the security describes that
which person is allowed to use the system and
which is not allowed.
All the threats which are internal to the
organization affects the privacy of the data.
The security of the data is affected ot
influenced by the threats which are external to
the organization.
The data privacy handles simple problems and
queries.
On the other hand the queries or the problems
handled by the data security are more tough
and complex.

The data privacy follows the mechanism of
altering the information (Bera, Misra and
Rodrigues, 2014).
On the contrary the mechanism followed by
data security is encryption of the data or the
authentication of the data.
Importance of cloud in business
The use of cloud computing is vary necessary and essential in this cut throat competitive
world (Hsu, Ray and Li-Hsieh, 2014). This is because of the benefits which the cloud computing
provides to the users. The benefits of using cloud computing are as follows-
The use of this system allows the employees and the workers to have more flexibility at
their place of work. This is because of the reason that the data stored through the cloud
computing can be accessed from any where at any time. This is a benefit to the
employees because for example, suppose the employees is on holiday and suddenly for
some urgent work he needs some data then he can easily access the data through the use
of cloud computing.
The use of cloud computing helps the business in easily communicating and sharing the
information with the rest of the company and outsiders. If suppose the company works on
a project at different location then it can easily use cloud computing to provide the
workers, contractors and other people to have access to the information from there itself
(Khalil, Khreishah and Azeem, 2014).
CONCLUSION
The technology is referred to as the use of some modern and scientific methods and
techniques which are used by the companies to make their work easier and simpler. These are
different types of techniques and tools which are used by the business concerns in order to solve
their day - to - day problems and to simplify there work so that the work can be completed
successfully and efficiently. In the current modern age there has been a great revolution in the
field of the technology. With the thorough study of the essay in detail it can be summarized that
the use of technology is very important and beneficial for all the various types of industries. Also
it outlined the use of cloud computing and its benefits for the company. It also discussed about
the different types of cloud systems along with there suitability to the current business. At last
the report highlighted the difference between privacy and security along with importance of
using the cloud computing in the business.
