INTRODUCTION
Computer is an electronic device which accepts the input of
data processing with respect to the instruction given and
provide results as output. It is a technology or instrument
that can be used for multiple purposes that can receive,
process and store data. Nowadays computers have become
more complex, they serve a wide range of purposes. This
report will determine the classification of computers,
importance of internet and use of social media in today's
world.

CLASSIFICATION OF COMPUTERS AND THEIR

on the following –
• Operating principles
• Size and Capability
• Applications

Classification based on
operating principles
1. Digital computers – These computers operates
significantly by counting, each and every
quantity is expressed as numbers or discrete.
2. Analog computers – An analog computer is a
type of computer that uses the continuously
changing attributes of physical phenomena like
mechanical, electrical and or hydraulic
quantities to model the issue being solved.
3. Hybrid Computers – These computers exhibit
characteristics of digital and analog computers.
