INTRODUCTION
Academic and employability skills are essential in overall development of an individual
during a course of entire life. Academic skills or school skills are the approaches which are
applied to the learning and are essential in gaining success at a higher level of education, getting
an employment and further useful throughout the one's life. Academic skills consist of a core
skills such as, academic writings, presentation skills, and referencing which contribute towards
innovation, creativity, effective communication, analytical skills and problem skills (Pouratashi,
2019). On the other hand employability skills are the soft skills which help an individual in
getting employment. These skills are developed by an individual from school or college and are
useful during the entire life such as communication skills, team work, interpersonal skills,
problem solving and decision making. The report covers an analysis of skills required by a
restaurant manager so as to perform well through SWOT analysis, PDP and time management
tools.

Reflective report
Self assessment or reflection is conducted by an individual with the aim of identifying
reviewing and analysing their work and making reflection of the learning outcomes. It is the
process of enhancing the learning potential of an individual along with the implementation of
tools and strategies required to conduct effective self-assessment or self-reflective task. Self
assessment helps an individual in many aspects such as, evaluate the work against set criteria,
identifying strengths and weakness with regards to set of skills and knowledge, reflection on
style of learning and processes, and the impact of their performance over others (Sin, Tavares
and Amaral, 2019). With the help of Gibbs reflective cycle model, which was developed by
Graham Gibbs in the year 1988, an individual review the experiences through series of six steps
and find out the learning outcomes. The six step reflective cycle is consists of description,
feelings, evaluation, Analysis, conclusion, and action plan, which offers a deep insight of the
information related with an incident or a situation.
