INTRODUCTION
Team building skills can be defined as important skills within an individual which
directly healthy individual in getting the success as well as managing the team to achieve the
goals and objective. In the current report there is a discussion about a reflection on a team
building skills by using different models and theories.
MAIN BODY
Team building skills are important part of every individual’s life because they are
directly related to the performance of an individual within a team and achieving the goals and
objectives by combining the effect of different individual consists within the team. According
to me, I develop my team skills while pursuing a course from a recognised university (Bens,
2017). I acquire the team building skills but performing within a team as a leader where I as
lead various person within the team which have different abilities skills and behaviour. Main
major task is to maintain discipline within the team so that we can achieve our goals and
objective. while serving as a leader within the team identified that it is important to make an
effective team so that goals and objectives of the team can be achieved effectively because
when we are performing a function identified that due to improper skills and low level
management within the team there are various kind of conflicts which directly impact the
performance of the team and resulted in an appropriate achievement of goals and objectives.
After identification of this problem I decided to apply a model for making effective team so
that we can achieve the goals and objective in an appropriate manner. While performing with
the team in the course identified the BELBIN team roles theory which is a tendency to the
behaviour which contribute and interrelate with other in a particular way so that effectiveness
can be achieved within the team by managing the skills and abilities of different individual
according to the requirement of task. Therefore, it can be identified that this theory is divided
in three parts where three action are oriented toward the roles which include shaper,
implementer and completer (Black, 2018). The other three rules are coordinator team worker
and resource investigator. The last three roles which are important part within the team for
managing the team effectively and achieving the effectiveness within the team are plant
monitor, evaluator and specialist.
While working with the team identify the there are various other skills which are
required to be e in an leader to lead the team as well as manage the team in an effective
manner so that goals and objectives regarding the formation of team can be achieved. The
major scale which is required within a team is effective communication, leadership skills,
decision making ability and analytical skills (Denda and Hunter, 2016). While performing
with the team identify that my communication skills are strong because when we are
performing there are various situations arise within the team where I have to communicate
two different individuals within the team and I communicated effectively because each and
every member understand what I want to communicate and they reacted in an appropriate
manner which is required on the side of other members. But decision making abilities are not
so strong which identified while performing within the team because in a particular situation I
have to make various decision (Pettit and Ferguson, 2017). But because of poor decision

team leadership skills be an important part because there are various situations within the
team where there is demotivation within the employees as well as there is lack of guidance.
So, I started to take initiative by leading my team members where I provided a proper
guidance to them as well as use motivational techniques so that they can perform at fuller
efficiency as well as work in an effective manner to achieve the goals and objectives of the
team (Robertson, 2019).
For managing different task I use different kind of leadership technique so that I can
easily manage each and every individual within the team as well as achieve the goals and
objectives of the team. Working with our team also helps me to develop various skills and
ability which I can use in my future task (Sairam, Sirisuthi and Wisetrinthong, 2017) . The
major benefits which I get from working within the teams are improvement in my
communication skill development of decision-making ability as well as using my analytical
skills in an appropriate manner so that I can understand different concepts and can easily
interpret different data. These special skills helped me in gaining competitive advantage
within the future career as well as by performing this professional course I get used to easily
interact with different peoples and understand their behaviour for identifying their skills and
ability to perform a particular task. This directly helps me in increasing my professional
engagement so that I can easily achieve my career objective in future (Sousa and Rocha,
2019). There are various kinds of leadership skills which are developed from this, this
leadership skill is transformational leadership style where I prefer to transform the old
methods by adopting new ones for achieving my goals and objectives in a particular task.
This also help me in maintaining the relationship between different peoples so that I can use
their skills and abilities in an appropriate manner. It can be seen that it is important to develop
a team building skills within an individual for achieving the competitive advantage as well as
keeping different skills related to the team development and leading a team in an effective
direction for achieving the goals and objective (Yi, 2016).
