INTRODUCTION
Child labour is a word that represents the work done by the children that are abide from the right
of education and which is also harmful to their mental and physical health. In today's era child
labour in the supply chain is becoming the most focused social issue all over the world and
which is still remains grave (Jadhav, Orr and Malik, 2019). The present report will compare the
argument for and against banning all the forms of child labour in the supply chain.
MAIN BODY
For
Poverty is the biggest consequence of the child labour. In the supply chain the child labour has
increased to the peak which is harmful for the growth and development of the nation. Therefore
it is very necessary to ban all the forms of child labour in the supply chain. There are different
forms of child labour in the global supply chain such as slavery, forced labour, trafficking, sexual
exploitation, hazardous work that can cause death or injury or disease to child etc. there is no
space for the child labour in the market and supply chain to meet sustainable goals of the market.
In today's a global supply chain which refers to trading of goods and services that cross
international borders is becoming the hub for human trafficking where women’s, girls and
children’s are the major victims of the child labour (Chow, 2018). Sexually assaulted and
exploited for the prosecution and other forms of sexual exploitation. Small children’s
environment transported and migrated to the other places in the act of slavery they are forced for
the removal of organs which is a illegal trading of organs in order to earn money. Some forms of
child labour that is hazardous work that is putting the child to death or injury. Supply chain of
mining for the construction business is a major threat for the children's health and life as working
in the hazardous situation risking the life of the children and causing the severe injuries which
stays with child life long. Example children working at the mining site is injured due to the
explosion and lost his eyesight this example clearly states the working of child in hazardous
workplace supply chain should be completely banned as this spoil the life of children for the
whole life. The exploitation of the girls in the international supply chain is increasing at major
rate as girls are traded across the countries for illegal means where they are sexually assaulted
and killed later (Thévenon and Edmonds, 2019). Therefore it is very essential for the
