INTRODUCTION
In the current environment the trend toward the conferences meetings and exhibition
is continuously increasing where the concept of sustainability is also developing within these
conferences events and meetings. Due to changes within the conferences as well as
government policies concept of sustainability is continuously. In the current report there is
discussion about a contemporary issue in relation to the MICE sector and a credible proposal
which is based on a conference which will be held with the name of world association of
travel agencies.

and exhibition sector is that part of tourism industry which generally deals in the large group
where the usually plant as well as advanced level of meetings get together will be arranged.
This industries trading currently as a name of meeting industry where it is form to avoiding a
confusion acronym. According to the author this industry is also used as an event industry
where umbrella term for a vast scope of meetings and events related to some professional will
be termed under this industry. According to the author most component of meeting incentive
conferences and exhibition sector are well understood but with some expectation of
incentives. Incentive tourism is usually defined by the author as a type of employee reward
by the company or institution for target meats or exceeding for a great job done by the
individual on behalf of company. in relation to the MICE tourism industry incentive tourism
is usually conducted purely for the entertainment rather than professional or educational
purposes it include those events which have a stress Pacific themes and topics and our main
aim at professional, school academic or trade organisation for some special interest groups.
According to the Wanigasekera, (2019) it is the duty of a sector to promote ethical
issues which are directly related to the climate protection as well as minimising the negative
factors which can impact negatively on the climate and nature of business working. Author
also states that it is important for MICE sector to reduce the wastage as well as use green
methods for their functioning to promote the environment protection as well as fulfil their
duty related to sustainability and corporate social. For this the sector can use different kind of
systems where one of the systems is to reduce the plastic and food waste. In relation to the
current environment the burning plastic straw and plastic bottle for all meeting rooms and
using the glass instead of plastic is best suitable way which can save millions of the process
from entering to the oceans and depleting the marine life. But taking this small step
organisation can fulfil its responsibility because eliminating the use of plastic straws bottles
and disposable items will directly health organisation in increasing its contribution toward the

living individual to survive. States that it is also important for the organisation who is sealing

in the sector of MICE to reduce the food wastage. This can be done by the organisation where
it can change the incorporated when you were more fish and plant based food can be
introduced which are in majority. This puts also help in reducing the greenhouse gas emission
because it is seen from different studies made by the author that environmental study like
90% of fishes are not responsible for increasing the greenhouse gases. Also use the large
amount of leftover food to distribute in those persons who are in need of food this will help in
reducing the food wastage as well as fulfilling the social responsibility of the organisation
towards the society

adopted by the organisation who are trading in MICE sector like they can use the techniques
which are helpful to reduce the carbon emission within the atmosphere. According to the
research it can be seen that carbon emission is a major problem which is causing climate
change as well as affecting the business is negatively specially tourist. Show carbon emission
problem is a major concern to the MICE sector because it impact on the performance of the
organisations as well as profitability. For this organisation can use environment friendly
techniques where they should use renewable energy sources for lightning as well as try to
reduce the fireworks which is also a reason for increasing carbon emission within the
atmosphere. Create the organisations in also use different kind of assistance which will help
in generating energy as well as reducing the chances of carbon emission. For this
organisation can use LED lighting system which has lowest consumption of the electricity as

below:
