INTRODUCTIONCorporate social responsibility includes management of business by leaving a positiveimpact on the society. The business implement CSR strategies to integrate the environmentaland social issues while performing its operations and interacting with external stakeholders (VanHees, Moyson and Roeyers, 2015). For the better understanding of the report Tesco has beenselected which is a multi nation grocery store whose headquarter is in England, UK. It basically aretail store that offer food item, books, cloth and all daily necessity items. This report makes thediscussion about the literature review, its purpose and role. As well as report carries theviewpoint of various authors on adoption of CSR activity at workplace. TASK 1Literature review: Literature review emphasise the discussion made on the publishedinformation of specific topic. Here, viewpoint of various authors are given for in-depth analysisas well as for better understanding of the topic. It basically includes an overview about thesubject or issue that varies from author to author. Purpose of Literature review:The primary purpose of literature review is to provide easy access to the reader ofresearch due to which it is considered as relevant, important, valid and meaningfulsummarisation of the complete report.It gives the place to researcher to began their research by collecting data, summarising itand making the comparison among original research which has been already conducted inthat specific field.Literature review also make sure duplicate or repeatation in work does not arises amongthe various researchers (Moore and Morton, 2017).It provide an overall summary about the topic by focusing on key findings and givingrecommendation.Helps the business or academic work to identify the reasons of gap or inconsistencyarises pertain within the organisation.Lastly, it offer constructive analysis to the reader who go through the specific researchreport.
