INTRODUCTIONAs business communication is a process of sharing the information among the memberswithin an organisation so that relevant information can be communicated to each and everyperson who work in enterprise. To achieve the goals of firm it is required for the management tomake effective communication with all group members so that each and every perform can knowits role in order to accomplish the objectives. To better understand this concept HiltonCambridge City Centre has been chosen that is a famous hotel which belongs to UK. There arevarious topics has been covered in this report such as: to facilitate inter-departmentalcooperation and different types of barriers in communication.Literature reviewTo facilitate inter departmental corporation it is required to have better communicationwithin the organisation so that adequate information can be deliver to all group members andwhich is helpful to achieve the organisational goal. According to the case scenario, marketingdirector of Hilton Cambridge City Centre who owns a hotels and resorts and announces thatcompany is opening a brand new beach resort in Sri Lanka. In this regard it is important forsubordinates and colleagues to take effective measures for the purpose of inter-departmentcooperation so that goals of firm can be accomplish as per the requirement (Yacchirema andPalau, 2016).In context to inter-departmental cooperation:According to Uzma Hanif Gondal, 2012 it is important for the organisation to maintaineffective inter departmental cooperation as because now a days corporation fail is due to lack ofinternal coherence & proper communication system with the different departments. As there arevarious departments in a firm such as: marketing, operation, research and development, financeetc. As due to inefficient inter departmental cooperation, efficiency of a company can getaffected as because employees does not perform their role as per the requirement and workersfeel demotivated as because of their poor performance. In this regard it is important forsubordinates and colleagues to take effective measures to bring cooperation within thedepartment. In this regard it is recommended to the colleagues and subordinates to get relevantinformation which help them to performroles and responsibilities in effective manner as a result1
