INDIVIDUAL REFLECTIVE STATEMENT BASED ON PRESENTATION
In a group activity, we have performed the task of preparing a presentation which is based on
XYZ solutions limited, a UK based emerging IT solutions developer company for both
businesses and individuals. I have prepared presentation regrading sales and marketing
management initiatives could be taken by the company towards enhancing product portfolio
(Goupil and Kouider, 2019). I have selected the new product as an “accounting software” for the
purpose of planning and presentation. The new product has been named as “Transaction” and the
target customers for this product would be companies and accounting firm who are able to keep
their business records on the digital platform. At the time of preparing this presentation, I
confronted with many difficulties due to may poor sales and marketing skills, analytical skills,
researching skills and IT skills (Yurtseven and Altun, 2018). These skills are actually the base on
the basis of which the whole presentation was prepared. For instance, with poor sales and
marketing skills I was not able to determine it easily that who could be the target audience for
this new product, poor IT skills has created difficulty in identifying what benefits could this
accounting software would render to the target and poor analytical skills makes it difficult for me
to perform marketing analysis and marketing mix for the new accounting software known as
“Transaction”.
Despite of my poor skills as discussed above, my group members are highly supportive
and guides me throughout the task of preparing presentation. Like, they suggested that I should
pick whose demand is high in the marketplace. Accordingly, the various of P’s of marketing mix
has been planned with the help of my group members and I have utilized my communication,
critical thinking and presentation skills to ensure better outcome and improvement of these skills.
The presentation allows me to interact with my group members and share my opinions, ideas and
thoughts with them which in turn helps me in developing team work skills. Also, with the help of
this presentation, I have developed good time management skills because earlier I was not able to
prioritize my tasks and generally ended at achieving nothing (Crane and et.al., 2019). Certain
more weakness that I came to know after completing this group presentation such as poor
coordination and poor ability to listen to others. I have good communication skills but I generally
get failed in listening to other point of view, but with the completion of this presentation I

understood that listening to others is equally important to develop self – understanding and
understanding among team members.
With this presentation, I have learnt that I need to develop active listening and
coordination skills, so that when I got similar opportunities in future I can able to utilize these
skills in a better way and get good results in future. At last, I can say that the overall experience
and learnings from this presentation was much good except some areas of weakness in myself
that creates difficulty for myself than I have planned to work on through action plan and expert
advice.
