the adults are very rich and they live a far prestigious life than us. believe the other parts of the city are more privileged and people are more happy and aristocratic there – I have seen their dresses and lifestyles. May be if I was born there – I would have been rich and led a lavish life but I believe they are very arrogant for they d not treat us well and look down upon us. ’ Question 4: How is the scenario of the college you are currently attending? Response – ‘In the college, the teachers force the students with studies of their own choice and the way of learning that they feel right. The culture of the college is very teacher centric and we are made to live a life that is decided by them. The culture of the community college that I am attending is mixed for it has mostly students from lower middle class families and upper middle class families. I do not understand why these upper class people join ou college when they do not know how to respect people.’ Question 5: What do you support and do not support in college? Response – ‘Looking at both the conflict scenario – I can say for both the urban society people and the professors in our college - the problem is that they feel they have all the power in the world and the right to oppress us as well. I believe the problem is two faceted – the social between the privileged and underprivileged students and the authority gap between the teachers and the students. I believe that the professors are very aware of their authorities and they like to exercise their powers with the student unnecessarily and even to the extent of ruthlessness – failing a student who is not their favorite’ Question 7:What choice would you have made if you read in 05.10.2019participant 1 3/4 12 13 14 ..system is teacher centric instead of student centric ..social and economic disparity ..teachers of upper class lack empathy ..They do not have humandity and compassion for others ..social and economic disparity ..teachers of upper class lack empathy
more sophisticated college? Response – ‘I think the problem is same everywhere.’ Question 8: How will you go about solving the problem? ‘ Response – ‘I guess I will have different colleges for different economic sects of the society. Then we can exist with chaos. By making the student union stronger. I would have a counter system for marking the professor’s for their conducts and behavior with the students. By having more policies in favor of the student’s learning and to guide the students to learn in more experiential way. There has to be student support policies to back the social rights and the educational rights of the students. By creating a stronger student forum where the student problems are addresse by the student themselves. A student feedback system for teache evaluation must be set so that their oppressive behavior can be judged and overruled as well.’ 05.10.2019participant 1 4/4 15 16 17 ..problem is in everywhere ..do not like people from upper class join our college ..making stronger union ..system is teacher centric instead of student centric ..making stronger union
