information has been collected for preparing the project report by going through its website

Introduction
The report describes how the project related report is prepared in the context of
Australian Unity Home Care Services. The project is a part of the assignment on business and
industry research project of industry placement that holds an overall thirty percent weight
age. The purpose of the assignment deals with an extensive research about the mentioned
company. The information about the company outlined in its relevant website and also
gathered by talking to its staffs. This helped in collection of immense information about the
company and in successful completion of the project report.
Discussion
My report aims at describing the company Australian Unity Home Care Services. The
information collected is presented in a report format and discussion done on its major
findings. The website provided relevant information about the company (Home Services &
Disability Services | Australian Unity, 2017). Through its website, I got informed about the
company as a home care provider that offers dependable and flexible services to the old
people so that that can live life on their own terms. The website also helped me in gathering
information on the various home and disability services, retirement communities, relevant
information about the care of the aged(Disability Services | Australian Unity, 2017). Through
the website, I also knew that the company provides care services for the disabilities and the
aboriginals. While doing my research, I found that information on financial sustainability
through the diversification of the portfolio derived from its website under the section
financial advice (Financial considerations of living in a retirement community | Australian
Unity, 2017). The website also provided important information on how the company has
opportunities for diversifying its portfolio for reducing business risk and increasing
profitability. The diversified portfolio of the company however included retirement and

medical insurance services for a target market that is diverse. There was also information
collected on the investments of the company in the real estate sector. Through a SWOT
analysis performed, I also got to know that the chosen company received support from the
government in the recent years for offering quality services related to home care. Through the
website “Qualtrics helps Australian Unity Improve Its Voice of The Customer Program”, I
also came to know that the company also suffers business threats arising from technology
issues and external environment (Barrow, 2014). I have also collected information on how
the company faces threat from the turnover of its employees. This was done by talking to the
staffs the company. They told me how the company replaced the staffs on regular basis that
resulted in incurrence of recruitment and training of the employees. In the project report, I
have also mentioned information about the filling of an online form for availing the service of
the company whose information I derived from ‘funding eligibility for home service’ section
of the website (Aged Care | Australian Unity, 2017). Further, through the section of the
website ‘age care cost explained’ I came to know about the insurance policies of the company
based on age, financial background and health condition. More information regarding the fact
that the company uses client information for pricing its premium and making the necessary
insurance payments was sourced from its employees. Finally I tried to segregate the collected
information in different paragraphs (Bell, 2014).
Conclusion
The report is a reflective one that describes how I have done my research for
presenting a project report on Australian Unity Home Care. Through the report I have
discussed as to how I have done an extensive research about the company through its various
website. I have also spoken to the various staffs of the company who have also enriched me

with sufficient information. After the collection of the information I compiled the information
and presented it in paragraph format
Recommendation
The preparation of the project has taught me how to do extensive research about a
company. I have also learnt how the website of a company if well designed can be so
informative. Though I believe that I have prepared a commendable report but after going
through my peer project reports I believe that my report could have been better with inclusion
of management evaluation, technical feasibility, commercial viability, financial appraisal and
economic viability of the company. Moreover, the report could have been better with proper
headings and sub heading which would have made it presentable. This is because continuous
writing without a subheading break makes a paper monotonous. Though it is a project report
on the overview of a company the writing could have been more creative without losing
focus which would have made the paper better. However, I can also improve myself by being
a bit more proactive in collection of information from the staffs and at the same time hone my
skills for better convincing power and for earn trust of people so that they are not hesitant in
sharing information.
