Abstract
In the business field, telecommunication has a major role to play; every single interaction
starting from higher authority hierarchy to the lower level covering all major tasks like client
traffic management is purely dependent on the communication quality. Directly or indirectly
it serves as a central backbone for business firms to raise their revenue range and enhance
the quality of services in production. Overall this project consists of an analyzed view of two
companies, named as Marks and Spencer and Mad Mex Mexican restaurant. Marks and
Spencer is a multinational organization selling luxury goods, clothes and home products.
Marks and Spencer is a multinational company owns a count of more than 5000 employees,
similarly, mad mex Mexican restaurant owns a count of employees less than 1000. Mad Mex
is a Mexican food supplying the restaurant.

Introduction
Telecommunication means communication over a wide or range of geographical area,
generally, it is done using cables, routers and broadcasting elements for networking
management. Importance of it is to enhance production management and revenue
management. This report primarily focuses on network management using the automated
system for the two selected companies. Analyzed view of marks and Spencer with Mad Mex
Mexican restaurant is given. To get a complete view of how the security essentials are
leveled according to the priorities of both company requirements all the major topics like
current scenario, risk management, business management, communication measures will
be discussed in the research paper.

Current scenario of the selected companies
Marks and Spencer
 History: In 1884 the company marks and Spencer were formed by Mr. Michael mark. In
the year 184 then, he collaborated as partners with Thomas Spencer. He was a former
cashier in a wholesale company named Dewhirst. The further first shop was
inaugurated in the year 1904 in Leeds. Till 1999 many policies related to marketing
strategies were adopted by M&S. In 1999, finally, the shopping process was availed

 Vision and business type: M&S aims to avail aspirational quality products to each
customer. Also, they aim to meet the customer requirements according to changes in
trends and improving the level of competitiveness by setting the benchmark. Marks
and Spencer owns a business of e-commerce as well as offline shopping of apparels',
home decors and food items in various countries.
 Values: To regain and raise the leadership factor by fulfilling the changing customer
requirements and serving improvement in competitiveness.
 Mission and rise period: To ensure authorization to superior quality, the mission is
subjected in the form of a statement reflecting” good quality for the penny”. 2011-15
have been the most successful years as a constant four-year rise in revenue has been
seen in marks and Spencer. Major rise in the year 2017 has been seen by the opening
of new stores and improved profit earnings through the digital availability of shopping
process.
 Scalability: Marks and Spencer is a global level serving company with a count of more
than 80k customers. Financially it is widely scaled.
Mad Mex Mexican restaurant
 History: Founder of mad max restaurant is Clovis young and Head Honcho. They started
selling steak with Pico de Gallo rolled within burritos with a combination of salsa
smothering. Though the owners were Baja lovers so opened a restaurant in Australia
selling Mexican dishes.

 Vision and business type: It aims to serve the best quality flavored and colored burritos
to the customers according to requirement. For fulfilling the taste requirements every
type is available may it be spicy, cheesy or sour. Mad Mex Mexican is a Mexican food
selling restaurant in more than 60 areas with a major branch in Sydney. It owns a food
selling e-commerce website and also avails services from offline ways.
 Values: To avail the best mouthwatering Mexican dishes to customers with a relaxing
and welcoming environment.
 Mission and rise period: To fulfill the cravings of people for tasty slow cooked Mexican
dishes in a feasible budget through online and offline modes of food ordering. Current
status of mad mex's revenue is $300M and that too with a count of 700 workforces
only. Also, an increase of 7.14% has been seen in the number of customer visits. Reason
for this is the new imposed services as an addition.
 Scalability: The mad mix Mexican restaurant is not a large scale company but yes, it has
its footprints in around 60 places including the staff of 700 people.

Mad Mex Mexican restaurant: This restaurant manages its business using two mediums.
Below is a brief description.
Online to offline: Client can order food from the destination (offline) of food delivery (can be
home, workplace or the restaurant itself) by visiting the website (online) of Mad Mex
Mexican restaurant.
Offline: Client can go to nearby located mad mex Mexican restaurant (offline state) order
the food and enjoy at the restaurant only.
Phases of business management:
1. Planning stage: In this mad mex has driven road mapping structure for each service
to be provided at customer end (Gartenstein 2018).
2. Strategizing stage: All the offers are like price management, important decision
making on each level of the hierarchy is strategized under this phase.
3. Staff management: All the staff from the lower level is to highly hire under this phase
according to the required skills and qualifications. In mad mex departments include
managers, waiters, delivery staff and the cook.
4. Directing stage: Both online and offline orders are handled by a single manager, in
each field role played is of directing the lower and mid-level staff according to the

This phase deals with the strategies to eradicate or manage the risks possible during
operation implementation of the selected companies. In network-based communications of
companies, possible risks are jitter issues, third-party attacks and data breaching. Though I
have selected marks and Spencer on a large scale and mad mex Mexican restaurant as small
scale so the risks analyzed between two would be totally different. Below I have given a
brief about risk management of both the companies.
A. Marks and Spencer
Economic conditions: Trading conditions with respect to economic ones are a challenge to
M&S as Due to the increased range of client disposables within high pressures from
austerity measures of government inflate highly in terms of price.
Distribution center management: E-commerce distribution center is a tough task to deal
with in M&S. New distribution center avails a functionality of serving orders in the way you
shop.
Country risk: In case of global delivery management, possible risks to occur are in the fields
of growth, political issues, property-owning, and currency management.
Market and IT changes: Always changing with a set of technology to avail services more
efficiently is not possible, market rates with respect to new technologies are increasing day
by day and will continue for a long run also, so dealing with this is tough as every time

Stock management: Product availability and gross margin delivery are the areas of
possibility through which stock management can be affected. It is essential to handle for
lowering the markdown impacts on profits earned.
B. Mad mex Mexican restaurant
Stakeholder issues: Being a small scale it becomes difficult to manage partners or
stakeholders for the company to keep it funded in case of an emergency to be handled or
introducing some new features in it.

Commitment issues: Though mad mex Mexican restaurant is a small scale company having
less count of employees, so every single management from designing to development and
management is employee dependent. An absence of any employee working for offline or
online services can directly affect the day to day service operations of the company.
Decision making: Mad mex being a small company has less count of employees; there may
be a possibility of decision-making issue and employee cooperation on the same.
Transaction issues: There may be a possibility of deadlock issue as a condition can arise in

another server, also the other server using some resource which is held by another server.

Security measures aim to provide security indifferent fields of business, as I have selected
Marks and Spencer as large scale and mad mex Mexican restaurant as a small one, in both
scenarios security measures are available to secure client data from breaching, attacks and
account hacking issues. Below are the detailed security measures of both selected ones
(Freeman 2014).
A. Marks and Spencer
Cloud first strategy implementation: Errors cannot be completely neglected but yes! Can

of order and delivering it a particular call is done on the same number. Major security

 Quality password: High level of deciphering the password should be there, in order
to reach the same use of special characters, spaces and alphanumeric keys should
be done.
Company end
 Firewall implementation: This provides a secure gateway for users to run smooth
functionalities on the web page by restricting the harmful websites through it.
 Backup management: Managing backup is a necessity to tackle unexpected
malware and interferences in the server managing the organization data.
