TASK 1 1.1 The methods of controlling Plaque Plaque control is a most specific method that assist in maintaining dental health as well as a oral environment (Griffin and et. al., 2012). It can be control through two different methods as:- Mechanical plaque control methods Chemical plaque control methods 1.2 The treatment available for controlling caries Dental caries can be identified on two different areas of teeth as occlusal caries and inter- proximal caries. These areas on teeth are easily infected through bacteria an d pose a risk of oral hygiene. The available treatment for controlling caries are - Filling Crowns Root canal Extraction 1.3 The treatments available for controlling periodontal disease Periodontal is a dental health disease which is caused by bacteria in dental plaque. It is denoted as sticky substances that react after within a couple of hours after brushed. The treatments available for controlling periodontal disease are - Flap surgery Bone grafting Soft tissue grafts Tissue-stimulating proteins 1
1.4 Identify sources of Fluoride Fluoride is a harmful aspect that may cause many health problems in terms of teeth, bone loss, breast cancer and so on (Chapple and et. al., 2015).
